“Had lunch today at RKR (Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch after seeing the article in the Daily Bulletin. The lovely Mrs. C and I both had the hangar steak with roasted brussels sprouts and fries. I opted to have the fries upgraded to the truffle parmesan version. As with our previous visit, the food was excellent. The brussels sprouts were roasted with a great char and were tender instead of mushy or overly crispy. The parmesan truffle fries had finely shredded chesses and flecks of truffle evenly coating the fries. The last time I had truffle fries in a restaurant they had the parmesan but with a drizzle of truffle oil. This was a very pleasant surprise. The steak was sliced with a light peppercorn sauce which did not overpower the steak but added to it. Of course, the restaurant is a teaching venue with students from the Collins School of Hospitality so service was attentive and excellent. To our meal we each had a glass of a Syrah blend wine and we shared an apple crumble dessert with Fosselman's vanilla ice cream (yummy). The dining room overlooking the hills of Cal Poly with the 57 freeway barely visible in the distance was, as always, part of the appeal of this location. Price for our meal (before tip) was $91. A very good value for the quality of food and experience. I'm sure we'll be back soon.“

“Good respectful environment here the cashier is very polite and patient with our order. I combined the passion fruit tea with peach and black tea, y mira, 👌 it's made perfectly.They have that good matcha here too. It tastes like matcha not too grassy because they add the perfect amount and mix it correctly. The popcorn chicken is a must a tiny bit spicy but my daughter loved it too much she ate everything. Went home and paired those leftoves with some pancakes and syrup. The gift that keeps on giving. The fried chicken wings with, i believe it was thai sauce, were delicious as well. “OK, YUM!! I’ve been on a huge hojicha kick lately since the caffeine is usually gentler than matcha. I’ve had bad luck in the past with shops giving me massive servings (37g!) that kept me up all night, so I’m always a bit cautious.

I finally decided to try Smoking Tiger after seeing them all over socal, and I’m so glad I did! I told the staff I’m super caffeine sensitive, and they were incredibly accommodating, offering to make alterations just for me. Love that attention to detail! I'll be a regular from now on!

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. The drinks were fantastic—creative, flavorful, and made with care. We especially loved the unique specialty toppings that made each drink feel a little extra special. They even have a window to the kitchen so you (or your kids) can watch the magic happen in the kitchen. The first time I went there I was reminded of my Dad and my time in Palermo. “7/27/26 Came here with a group of friends! I’ve been here a few times and my four friends. It was all their first time. We had a great visit here. We all ordered items and shared. The item I didn’t share was my iced cookie butter latte. It was really good since it’s been very hot lately. My second item that I ordered was the tiramisu croissant. I really love this pastry as it was very light and tasted so good! My friends ordered an egg salad sandwich, a spicy sausage dish, a chicken salad sandwich, and a sushi roll plate. Everything was amazing! The customer service was excellent here. I definitely will keep coming back!“

“We love Rail Side and have been going there for years. The Arecely’s PB Mocha (I like mine blended) is my favorite along with the wake-up #1 on GF bread. Everyone is so friendly (including the owners who are also rooted in the community) and they have live music on the weekend. Great spot that has so much small town charm.“

“I was seated outside, not much of a view but that's OK. I had the country fried steak, with eggs over easy and biscuits & gravy. The food was delicious. The gravy had sage in it, but not overwhelming. The biscuit was seasoned, very good on its own. I enjoyed the CFS. My bride ordered a sandwhich. I don't recall but she really enjoyed it. I also ordered a side of their signature Chipotle cheddar potatoes. They were absolutely fantastic. I would go back just to have those potatoes. Staff was very efficient and friendly. “Absolutely loved my experience at PS I Crepe You! The inside is so pretty and thoughtfully decorated — it has such a cute, aesthetic that makes it feel really welcoming and perfect for grabbing a sweet treat or hanging out for a bit.

One thing to note is that ordering is done entirely through an iPad, which actually made the process easy for my teenager but not for me.

“Stopped by 7 Leaves during a recent heatwave while visiting in the area - first - while its still around - make sure you try out their Brazilian Lemonade! It's simple - fresh lime juice, ice and condensed milk - but sooo good. Literally replaced (temporarily since it's a seasonal drink) my favorite House Coffee with Sea Cream.

Anyway, wanted to stop by to pick up some cold drinks and get their gift card pack.

This location is directly on your left as you drive into the shopping center. There's a drive-thru - so you don't have to leave the comfort of your car - but I opted to walk in since I wanted to snap photos of the interior.

Plenty of seating throughout the store (I didn't take one side of tables/chairs because it was fully occupied and I feel weird snapping photos of people without asking them).

Service was awesome. The employee had to check if they still had gift cards left - but was super helpful and pointed out that a gift card either gets the recipient a regular-sized drink with topping, OR a large sized drink no topping.

OH - and another plus - they blast the AC in here - so its the perfect refuge to sip coffee while working on your laptop or reading a book during a relentless heatwave!“

“Really enjoyed the pork satay here! The presentation was beautiful and everything on the plate looked fresh and appetizing. The pork satay was especially good—tender, juicy, and nicely grilled with a slightly smoky, caramelized flavor. The meat was flavorful without being overly sweet, and the sauce complemented it perfectly.

I also liked how the rice, fresh vegetables, pickles, and crispy shallots balanced out the meal. The portion was satisfying and the whole plate felt thoughtfully put together.
