“The establishment is an industrial garage overlooking the parking lot. But the beer served here is far superior to the canned beer they provide to the grocery stores. If you like to taste rich dark beers..that is when they are available..this is the place to go. The coffee stout is very good. Worth a visit.

Update after 8 years - still very good beers. Best brewery in the area. My favorite beer at the moment is: Oxford“

“Good BBQ here. Very busy area, particularly on weekends. Serving were substantial and enjoyed everything. Waffle and chicken was delicious. Service staff were very nice. Reservations recommended. Parking free in Parking structure next door.“

“This is such a hidden gem, the food is fresh, fast, and really affordable. I would recommend their rice rolls, it’s one of those dishes you can’t get at very many other restaurants. Definitely get the cucumber salad too, it’s a classic and they do a great job.“

“Ironbark is a very nice local brewery! They make and serve hard cider, there are some other drinks available and food trucks visit on the weekends with a variety of cuisine. There are musical events, pub, trivia, bingo, and Friday karaoke, as well as a monthly open mic night. It is a great friendly café type atmosphere and an LGBTQ+ safe space!“

“Being vegan I typed in vegan friendly in Claremont and Dr Grubbs was the first entry. I like that you can choose your protein and your choice of side as a combo entry. I loved my tofu steak and spring salad mix choices. There were just right dressing for each. The rest of my party loved their non vegan choices as well. Order at the counter and they deliver it to the table. There is a good amount of seating and I love that they have a restroom in the place as opposed to some other places we've been to in Claremont. Overall a great experience.“

“Their dumplings are so flavorful and their prices are so affordable! I always order the pork xiao long baos and also recommend the pan fried pork dumplings, any of the wonton dishes, and the cucumber salad! Out of their dessert buns I like their sesame buns the best, then the sweet custard, then the red bean. I don't order them as much because I get too full on savory dumplings, but really recommend getting them if you have room.

They usually don't have any music playing, but the foos comes out so fast that I don't mind the silence in the restaurant, which is only the case when no other patrons are seated.

Xiao Long Bao - so juicy, so flavorful, perfect amount of filling. I love these so much and they are definitely my favorite dish from here! 10/10

Pan Fried Pork Dumplings - very juicy for a pan fried dumpling, but somehow still so crispy! 9.5/10

Wonton Soup - I prefer their wonton soup over their spicy ones because it's much more flavorful with the broth! 9/10

Dan Dan Noodles - so flavorful, packed with meat, great sharing dish! I always order it if I'm eating with 3+ others 9/10

Cucumber Salad - Love how the cucumbers aren't too vinegar tasting as I don't enjoy pickle flavors much, but definitely add some soy sauce and chili oil to make the dish even tastier 8.5/10

Spicy Wontons - I wish there was more flavor added than just spicy for their spicy wontons, and their not as spicy as I would like 8/10“

“My family stumbled across Aladdin yesterday tucked away by Trader Joe’s. The shop is slightly run down but we were welcomed in by Wally who treated us like his most beloved children who he needed to feed with love and care. We had excellent menu suggestions and when we ordered the empanadas he insisted we try all the kinds and threw in an extra. The beef and chicken empanadas were the clear winners with the beef delicately spiced. My daughter had the falafel which was crispy and delicious. My husband I both had the chicken kebabs which had been long-marinated and came out golden and perfectly cooked. Wally didn’t want us to miss the chicken shawarma so he piled some of that on our meals, as well. Also tender and golden and perfect. Each meal came with exquisitely creamy homemade hummus and basmati rice. The grilled peppers were charred and smoky and like something out of the most expensive Middle Eastern restaurant you’ve ever eaten at. I’d go back just for those. I ordered the tzatziki as one of my sides and it was cool, creamy and full of dill and crispy cucumber. The pita was excellent on the side. I won’t forget this restaurant visit for a long time. I left well fed with the excellent food, but even more so feeling like I’d just been fed by an old friend.“

“Don't let the 4-Star rating dissuade you. The food is good, but the restaurant is very bland and boring. Not in a bad way, but don't expect a lot of pretty frills. You go there just to eat, and you eat well. I would definitely go back again.“

“Our first visit was a huge success! We were greeted immediately by the host and seated in under two minutes. The staff was so proactive, letting us know right away that their menudo is a weekend specialty. Our waiter, Francisco, was fantastic—extremely attentive, fast, and stayed on top of everything throughout the meal.

As for the food, the portions are definitely generous and full of flavor—a huge plus! I also loved that they have TVs; it kept my little one entertained and happy. I honestly wouldn’t mind the drive from Riverside for another delightful meal. See you guys soon!“

“Wow! We came here to check out the ramen wall but ended up getting some bowls off the main menu instead. Tried the beef bowl and the wing bowl with spicy noodle and lemon pepper wings -- the rice was perfectly cooked and the meats and noodles where incredible. The servings are very generous as well, we both left stuffed.

The wait wasn't too bad considering everything was cooked fresh but apparently there's an order ahead option if you don't want to wait as long. They were playing good music and the noise level was such that we could hear each other but didn't feel like everyone was listening to our conversation.“

“Cute breakfast and coffee spot in Claremont village. There is an outdoor table but if that is taken there is a ton of small shaded parks with nice seating nearby. I grabbed a table out front of city hall a half block away. The service is awesome, she came outside to take my order and payment since I had my dog with me. My egg and cheese and onion breakfast bagel was tasty.“

“I've been going to Viva Madrid since about 2008 and I always get a variety of their tapas. Many of the same ones every time. I've introduced this restaurant to more then 20+ people who now take their friends and families. The food is delicious but lately I'm having to ask for extra sauce on the chicken empanada (which is my favorite) and the spicy potatoes. If you don't, half will be without sauce and will be dry. Also try their red Sangria. It's delicious.“

The service is what really gets me. It's not that our waiter was nice, friendly and helpful, but that everyone there is like that from the hostess to the servers. Good service there isn't a isolated to an individual, but it's a culture and it's greatly appreciated.“
