I stopped at this establishment with my pup to treat myself for my birthday and had a great experience! It is located in The Claremont Village(SE corner of Yale and Bonita) which is a very nice and friendly area. Upon walking in, I was greeted and given a warm welcome. The interior is so fun and inviting, like an old fashioned sweet shop. I can totally see this place being a wonderful treat or incentive for children and adults(hey, I was in heaven!). I looked around at the options they had to offer and was delightfully overwhelmed! So many in-house made candy(chocolates, toffee etc.), candy apples, chocolate dipped treats, great selection of unique ice cream flavors, old fashioned packaged candy, modern packaged candy, fun toy candy, and a nice selection of Easter Baskets. I finally made my mind up, and opted for a scoop of Lavender Blueberry ice cream, with whipped cream and sprinkles, and a roll of old school "Charms" candy. I took a seat(there's a fair amount of indoor seating) after paying for my purchase and got right to trying my ice cream. The Ice Cream: so creamy and delicious! I can taste both the lavendar and blueberry. The whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles added a very nice touch! The Charms candy: just as yummy as I remembered! I was actually super excited to find these here! After finishing my ice cream, I took some more time to walk around and enjoy the displays of all they have to offer. To be honest, I was scoping out what I will have on my next visit LOL! The employees were so attentive, friendly, and happy to serve. I can tell Bert and Rocky's holds a high standard to who they employ. Thank you Bert and Rocky's and your charming staff for a wonderful Birthday experience!

Bummer the owners probably won't read these reviews since this page is unclaimed. I'll give it 3.5 stars out of 5 but Yelp only allows full stars. The store is a perfect image of a candy store ice cream parlor from back in the day (except not a lot of places to sit). Everything is very inviting and smells amazing. There are a few downsides. First, can't sample any of the ice cream. There's a lot of flavors that they probably make themselves and it doesn't list what's in it. So not only not knowing what's in it, but not being able to taste anything. Makes it hard to decide what to get. Can even limit samples to two. Also, pricing. Besides the ice cream, there's no signs on cost of the chocolates or anything. Even on the receipt, it's just a printout of how much you paid and nothing line by line. I would like to know how much I paid for each thing. Lastly, staff wasn't too friendly. Guy who helped me wasn't really helpful. Kind of pushy too as the kid I was with needed to use a bathroom. I understand you guys don't allow customers to use a bathroom so instead of pushing me to pay (you still had to ring everything up, swipe, etc.) allow me to take the kid next door so he can use the bathroom (most kids can't hold) and then I'll come back to pay. Shouldn't really make it an issue. To me, just came off as too pushy and not for the customer. Food (ice cream and candy) tasted amazing. Even had these eggs that Disneyland makes for Easter (for cheaper). Seems like Disney makes them and this place buys them from a wholesaler from what the cashier said. I'll probably be back if I'm in the area as I love supporting small businesses and the tastes were great. Just these small things would really push things to a 5/5.

The perfect place to satisfy our after dinner craving!! All Homemade ice cream! Delicious covered apples! They make their own nut clusters, and many other chocolate covered treats. The young staff is always very helpful! A popular place in downtown Claremont!

I've been coming here for years. Whenever I'm in the area it is a must! The brownies are unbelievable! I love their Rocky Road. No matter who is working, everyone is very friendly.

Wow!!! This was my first time here despite being a local and it was awesome!!! The ice cream was honestly rich and creamy and the best I've ever had personally. The icing on the cake was the service. My kids and I were treated so well and we just had such a fun experience. The store looked so festive and Christmasy and we also bought amazing candy apples on the way out. This is such a cool shop and my kids want to go back already. I also want to mention this place is reasonably priced...way cheaper and way better than chain stores. :) yum. .we love Bert & Rockys

This is an old town Clermont staple and a must stop by for some of the best ice cream you can get. They have a lot of other items as well and I'm sure they're all fantastic, but really, It's on ice cream you go in for! Fantastically well staffed which is the rarest thing to find anymore so it's very appreciated here! I hope they're paid well cuz they deserve it!
