Magnolia Bistro & Lounge

Nice little place for intimate get together. That's what us, old high school friends decided to do yesterday. They have an excellent brunch menu. They have salads, burgers, pastas and other offerings that are big enough to share. I was particularly impressed with their bread basket. Do not pass up on the squaw bread! It's located in an unassuming strip mall off Foothill Blvd in Claremont, close to the colleges. Very simply decorated, kept kind of dark for intimate conversations. Our wait staff was amazingly attentive.

I came for the short ribs but was disappointed they weren’t available. The atmosphere is lovely, and the capellini I ordered was delicious (though I think it uses black olives). The house bread was good, but it should be complimentary. Our server, Diane, was sweet and attentive. I’ll be back to try the short ribs!

This is a cute little place. Live music Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday the atmosphere so pleasant. The waitresses so pleasant. I would recommend this place. Food was so good and it wasn’t loud like a lot of places, family friendly. The music was awesome.

We have gone to Magnolia Bistro for dinner, brunch or even just a few drinks and the food and beverage is always top quality. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are very attentive. On weekends they have chill live music with a variety of great local musicians.

A very lovely dinner! The Magnolia Bistro has not been fully discovered yet. Lucky to have had a quiet dinner here. Hidden in a strip center but do not be fooled. The shrimp scampi & homemade dinner bread was beyond delicious. A well thought out wine list and great service. Give it try before there is an hour long wait to get in!

Claremont’s best kept secret for brunch. Lovely brunch items like strawberry bruschetta, baked Brie, or patatas. Excellent selection of sparkling and red wines. One of our favorite spots.

No wine Flights anymore.
Random guy at the bar had to grab our waiter to come get our order.
We ordered food, ate and left. Not food you can't find elsewhere. The chicken was the best part of being here.
Even the salt shakers sucked though, for my people that love having hypertension.
Pros:
Quiet and peaceful place
That's it. You'll like it if you're boring and you enjoy random guy grabbing your waitress.
The water is top par, but waitress never came to refill until we asked for the bill. She was rarely in the room to wave down.
Felt obligated to put this honest review in since there has only been one review since 4 years ago when this place was apparently amazing once.
Great place to go if you have young kids because no one is there to complain.

Appetizers , garlic shrimp w toasted bread & tomato bruschetta are fantastic , halibut and short rib is sooo good & for dessert we got bread pudding, delicious ???
