While at their location they confirmed they cook everything in lard
Delicious birria quesadilla, one of the best I've ever had to be honest! Well priced and great vibe nestled in downtown Claremont.

Intimate and a decent atmosphere. It's Claremont, so it piggybacks off the Village vibe. Anyplace else and this place doesn't survive. If you're familiar with the Village, you know this place can be so much more. They're phoning it in on the food, and the service could be so much better; especially when it's not busy. I had to ask for everything, water, cup of ice, more salsa from the "serve yourself" salsa bar, a fork, and I bussed my own table. I wouldn't mind, but then you're paying top $ for food. $13 for a chicken quesadilla; soggy not crispy and a taco salad, also with a less than crispy tortilla shell. Nevertheless, it's still the village, so we've been here before, and we'll probably be back, hoping for a better experience.

We have eaten twice at this casual outdoor restaurant, and I'm sure we will be back. I had the fish tacos, which were tender and spicy. They have water bowls for your dog, and the vibe is laid back and fun.

A great find. This tiny outdoor eatery has a couple TVs and always plays the Dodgers games. Good prices for tacos, burritos, sodas and beers. The staff is friendly and there's a fire pit for colder nights. Enter on First Street or the alley in back. There's a nice serve yourself salsa bar. The meats are tasty but I have one suggestion: instead of store bought taco shells that get stale within a couple hours of opening, try real corn tortillas and deep fry fresh on every order...Id bet you'de see a big jump in sales. Your location is really perfect.

Ordered a chicken taco made into salad, beautiful and delicious. Back patio area was casual and cool, even in the middle of a hot July day. Cinnamon horchata topped it all off. There’s also a kid-safe axe and ninja star throwing game to occupy all. Update: went back the next day for a carne asada salad. Kids got quesadillas and chips.
Parking: It’s Downtown Claremont so imagine parking is tough weekends and evenings. Mid-day seemed fine. Street parking and free lots are nearby.
Kid-friendliness: Dining on umbrellad picnic tables on dirt so fairly casual. Tucked in, you need to be looking for it.

Cool chill spot. Outdoor seating, backyard feel. All that was missing was some music.? Beer was not as cold as I like it, but food was good.

I am sorry but kinda basic. I expected better from fancy pants claremont. The tortilla and carnitas was dry. It’s absurd to give a tiny cup of salsa with a sizable burrito and then charge more money if you want to try the other kinds of salsa :( I am at least glad it wasn’t $20 for a burrito. Go to the mediterranean place instead.
The food is absolutely delicious! This is a must stop on anyone's list while you are in Claremont. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you can have impossible plant based meat added to anything they serve. Just ask. Take out or eat there in their lovely quiet outdoor seating area.
Vegetarian options: They can cater to your needs.
Dietary restrictions: Just tell them what you need changed, and they can change it to what you can eat.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty that kids would eat.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a paved path and low windows that wheelchair users will find helpful.

So disappointed. I should’ve known by the handling of the food alone. I came today at around 6:45pm. The one preparing our tacos was not wearing gloves as he made our tacos and even witnessed him wiping his hands onto his shirt. Then upon arriving home, I was expecting $5 per taco worth of tacos but instead we get regular sized tortillas with barely any meat, cilantro, and onions. For sure not a returning customer.
