Intimate and a decent atmosphere. It's Claremont, so it piggybacks off the Village vibe. Anyplace else and this place doesn't survive. If you're familiar with the Village, you know this place can be so much more. They're phoning it in on the food, and the service could be so much better; especially when it's not busy. I had to ask for everything, water, cup of ice, more salsa from the "serve yourself" salsa bar, a fork, and I bussed my own table....
We have eaten twice at this casual outdoor restaurant, and I'm sure we will be back. I had the fish tacos, which were tender and spicy. They have water bowls for your dog, and the vibe is laid back and fun.
A great find. This tiny outdoor eatery has a couple TVs and always plays the Dodgers games. Good prices for tacos, burritos, sodas and beers. The staff is friendly and there's a fire pit for colder nights. Enter on First Street or the alley in back. There's a nice serve yourself salsa bar. The meats are tasty but I have one suggestion: instead of store bought taco shells that get stale within a couple hours of opening, try real corn tortillas and deep fry fresh on every...
