This is a great spot for some good coffee. We met here because it was half way between us, and we were very pleased with the service and the coffee.

This place is awesome. Super friendly staff that make pretty great drinks. I got the Spanish latte, not too sweet, and had a good spice flavor, could really taste the cinnamon. The place is super cute, and my favorite part is how they donate 100% of their profit to charity. It's not often you see a cafe like that. Also, it seemed like they brought people with special needs in to have them help clean and give them some work, which was really sweet to see. Love this place.

Sanctuary Coffee lives up to its name—it’s a peaceful, welcoming space with great energy and even better drinks. I ordered the matcha latte with almond milk, and it was absolutely perfect—earthy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really appreciate that their matcha isn’t pre-sweetened like so many other coffee shops—you can actually taste the quality.

Ben was amazing and took the time to share that Sanctuary is a nonprofit supporting the local community. That mission adds so much depth to the experience—you can feel the heart behind everything they do.

The space is cozy and beautifully designed, with natural light, comfy seating, and an inviting, creative vibe. Whether you’re working, catching up with a friend, or just need a quiet moment, it’s the perfect spot. The staff is kind, the service is thoughtful, and the menu has great plant-based options.

I would absolutely go out of my way to visit this place again. Sanctuary Coffee isn’t just a café—it’s a community haven. One of my favorite finds in Claremont.

Sanctuary Coffee is such a gem — and even better, it’s a non-profit café where 100% of the profits support charities and local communities. That alone makes it worth visiting, but the experience itself was just as great.

I ordered one of their drinks of the month (July), the Blue Rose Sweet Tea, and it was delicious — refreshing and not overly sweet. The staff was super friendly, and the bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t too busy for a Saturday morning around 11am. There’s plenty of seating, a calm atmosphere, and free Wi-Fi, making it a perfect spot to relax or get some work done.

Amazing mission, great drinks, and a welcoming space — I’ll definitely be back!

Great coffee at a good price, plenty of seating both inside and out, plus there’s even a conference room. The music isn’t too loud and you can purchase the art on the wall which is nice too. The staff is friendly and quick to get your order out. I love that my purchase goes to a good cause so I will definitely be coming back for all the reasons listed above.

Coffee house in convenient location in strip mall shopping center. Various types of ample seating - i.e.: table & chairs; large chairs & sofas for relaxing; stuffed pillows. Friendly staff.

Just here for a coffee and recharge after a walk around the botanical garden. All spots taken by students (1 student per table/area). Not fun if you are there for the coffee, is a study room for college students. Got a hot latte, flavored, super sweet but okay. Not my top.

The manager is a real piece of work. I feel bad for the baristas that have to deal with him. I ordered two lattes with whole milk but I asked the barista to switch the second to oat before the drink was made. When I got to my car I realized the drink looked funny. I went back to ask if it was whole or oat and the barista let me know it was whole but would remake the drink for me. The manager made me go back to my car and bring him back the incorrectly made drink then had the audacity to tell me “we usually charge for this.” You mean to say- you usually charge the customer when the drink is made incorrectly? I feel bad for the barista because I know it was an honest mistake but that kind of attitude from the manager was ridiculous. He gives me micromanaging vibes.
