So me and my girlfriend came in the night before Mother’s Day looking for some keychains and a mothers day gift and normally all of the younger staff are all super nice and helpful in the whole transaction process and finding anything you need but that night was AWFUL there were two new staff members there who we never seen before (mind you we’ve been there about 20 times before all different times of the day) wayyyy older and a little scary or creepy looking following us and “trying” to act inconspicuous the whole time looking over our shoulder acting like we were trying to steal something constantly squeezing their way between me and my girlfriend and would get in the way of products we were attempting to buy they were very rude to us not stopping to see if we had any questions or concerns just staring at us and making us feel very uncomfortable to the point we just paid for the few things we had thanked the cashier and left WE WILL NEVER BE RETURNING thanks to this rude and creepy man and women following us that night.

I can’t say enough good things about The Grove stores! They are packed with amazing products, and the space itself is such a joy to explore. It’s one of those rare shops that feels both curated and full of surprises. A total gem!

One worker was nice behind the counter but another worker fallowed me and my friends around the shop mean mugging as if we were goanna steal something and when I made eye contact with her instead of making conversation she turned around and pretended to be fixing a shelf, overall uncomfortable experience and as a blue collar man I didn’t buy anything cause to me it all worthless nic nac items that would end up in trash after a sitting on a shelf for too long but I see the appeal for children and my female friends whom I was with at the time

I really wanted to visit the store because I saw that they sold jellycats. The store itself was cute however the employees are quite passive aggressive and a little rude. There was a situation which felt a little racist as there were 3 white girls in the back part of the store looking at items they had but when I walked into that part, an employee came up to me right away and told me that I wasn’t allowed in that area because “it wasn’t apart of the store” and then closed it off with a stanchion. So where was this energy towards the white girls that were standing there for minutes but the second I (an asian) walked there, I was told off? Definitely come here if you feel like being discriminated against and by seeing other reviews, it’s not the first time!

The outside was adorable and inviting - the staff, however, couldn’t be less inviting. My friend and I entered the store. We saw a sign that asked us to place our drinks down on a shelf. That was fine and totally understandable. As we walked around, an employee asked us to put our bags behind the register. He was nice enough and we figured this was store policy. However, as we continued shopping we noticed more and more people come in still wearing their bags. They were never asked to put their bags away. These people were all Caucasian, and my friend is not. We were disgusted by the realization that she had been racially profiled. It became GLARINGLY obvious when we were FOLLOWED and stared at. We left the store. When we passed by later we noticed every customer inside had a tote bag and carried them around with no issues from employees. No one should be profiled or discriminated. No one should be treated differently. Really wanted to love and support this store but I cannot support a store that makes others uncomfortable and assumes the worst based on their skin color. Do so much better.

I really wanted to like this store. I thought it was sooo cute. But while I was shopping around, a staff asked for me to remove my bag and place it behind the staff registered. I was confused but did it anyway. He made, my friend and I place our bags on a dirty floor, far away from our reach. What through me off was that other people still had their bag with them. As the only POC shopper, I felt really uncomfortable and embarrassed that I was the only one who was being targeted. I really wished I had a better experience, but with how they treated, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to come back!!

Great place to find thoughtful birthday cards and nice journals for gifts.

I recently visited the cutest trinket store ever, which also features a women’s clothing section on the other side of the store. The shop caught my eye while dining at the Quarter Creole restaurant nearby, so I decided to explore it. It turned out to be the most adorable trinket store ever! They have a delightful selection of Hello Kitty items, mugs, Disney merchandise, and many other charming things. I ended up purchasing a lovely Hello Kitty tea cup with a matching plate.
The staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and super helpful and attentive. I had a wonderful shopping experience and will definitely be coming back, especially for finding cute gifts for family and friends.

Stopped in on Sunday and wow!!! The length of the employees will go to watch your every step and chase you up and down their tiny store. Like can you at least make not so obvious. I'll probably go in one more time just to see if would happen again and next time I won't bit my tongue.

Everyone has opinions, I get it. But it’s very odd behavior for employees to make fun of the products shoppers are picking up. I had an employee, very loudly, making fun of some Taylor Swift items I was interested in. It made me very uncomfortable to the point I put the items I had back and left. They post about having Harry Styles and Taylor Swift merch on their social media, why promote if you hate the crowd it brings in?

Fantastic store for JellyCat! They also have LoungeFly backpacks and other merchandise like Stanley mugs, candles. I did buy the last gold dragon bag charm for hubby.
