We just signed up for their wine membership last night and the woman working there was so incredibly friendly and helpful! She was really patient answering all our questions and so generous with offering us tastings of different wines they had open. Out of the wineries I’ve tasted at old sugar mill, about half of them, this by far my favorite. Can’t wait to bring my friend and family here!

Absolutely loved the D&D theme of this spot, and the wine was fantastic as well! My sister and I spent an afternoon here last summer enjoying wine, flipping through D&D books, and chatting it up with the owner. I ordered a case for delivery back to Colorado and everyone loved it! We will definitely be coming back when we are in town.

I went on Saturday 2.22, and it was quite the experience. My first time at the Old Sugar Mill and also my first time with Draconis. I must admit, the wine tasted really good, though I highly doubt I’ll be back. Left feeling really disappointed with the staff. I had the flight, but only got 3 samples instead of 4. Not sure what I did wrong, but no matter what I said, it was clear I wasn’t going to win this one. Also, it was lovely how rushed they made me feel to leave quickly. I’m not one to argue or cause any trouble, so I just quietly left.

I love the ambiance! Not one wine we tried we didn't like or want! D, we can't thank you enough for your service. Your wines are amazing and I hope to see you in Alabama soon. You have now become my favorite wine! Can't wait to come back.

Great quality wine. Love coming here to taste new wines and hang out with friends and have a glass of wine
First time here... My granddaughter wanted to try it out because of the name ? ... I know! We weren't disappointed...
Did the Luxury Flight which had 3 reds, a Rosé and a Chardonnay... Wish I'd gotten the gal's name that was working... She was all over the place and sounds a fabulous job!
We loved the Zinfandel and the Merlot... Which are usually not favs of mine. Don't like the dry build that you generally get at the back...... They're was none of that with these... You could taste fruits and spices, they were smooth from start to finish... Definitely a surprise!
We also tried the petite sirah, which gave that dry thing, but even that wasn't as strong as usual... Not a fav for us, but we didn't hate it.
My granddaughter didn't like either the Rosé or the Chardonnay... I enjoyed both, even though, again, I'm not a fan of Chardonnay re dry... This one was smooth and fresh with no dry after effect... Again didn't hate it... I would actually think about buying a bottle ??
What I really liked about the gal pouring is that she was on her game to the point that she was explaining some of the fermenting processes, and even suggested doing a wash/rinse with some of the rosé and then taste it 2 or 3 more times for an accurate flavor sampling... This was to loose the reds that might be lingering in your palette... Is never been told this before, and OMG! It worked! The first taste of the rosé had en a little harsh... 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of was great ?
She also gave a bonus taste of their muscat blend... We took that home ??❤️ And we'll def be back again for the Zin!

We had a great tasting experience with Dee, who also kindly showed us some of the Dungeons and Dragons items/art behind their name and logo. Thank you for also supplying a private space for my friend to pump so she didn’t have to go to the public bathroom!
Me and my husband and two friends were sitting a man come rushing over just after 10 mins of sitting down heated up asking if we were going to wine taste we said we are thinking about our option then he waved his arms say then you need to go as if we were children iv never ever been disrespected like that in an establishment! He was so unprofessional and the worst part about it he was the owner we will not be back and I will be telling everyone about this establishment I’m so disgusted with the way we were treated!
Myself and friends really enjoyed our first wine tasting experience at Draconis this weekend. We had the pleasure of being guided through our tastings by Matt, who is the winemaker. I am not really a red wine drinker, but every red varietal I tasted was lush, smooth, velvety and voluptuous!! Matt is a talented, gifted winemaker! His method is different than other winemakers and his results are amazing!!
Three of us came in this morning for a little wine tasting. The owner was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Wine was excellent. We were at the Old Sugar Mill . Loved the decor--especially the Tiffany lamps.

A very casual, friendly, intimate setting to taste some delicious wines. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
Great ambiance and tasty wine selection. The owner is a dungeon and dragon fan. It was interesting to learn some background information on this winery. Customer service is amazing. They act like they have all the time in the world for you.
