My rating is based on customer service. Which put a damper on what was a great day at the Old Sugar Mill. We were told we could not sit in the reserve area, because we did not make a reservation. The wine bar was closing in 30 minutes and she said they might receive a reservation in that time period. I would recommend the owner change this policy. If it's 30 minutes to closing time, let a customer sit in this area. You'll have a happy customer, that will leave you a great review. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

We joined this winery last year. It offers some of the better wines in the Sugar Mill. What is really great are the member events. Last week we went to the dinner. It was not only beautiful but you could tell so much care and thought went into all the details. The food provided by American River Provisions was amazing in taste, quality, and presentation. The staff are wonderful.

This is my favorite winery! I have been a club member for years and the wine keeps getting better and better. The parties they throw for club members are so much fun and fancy! The owners are so nice and it really is a family run business. Stop in anytime and you will be glad you will fall in love with the Italian wine! ?

Scummy duplicitous business practices. We joined the wine club while we briefly lived in Sacramento mainly so we could go to events. We subsequently moved out of state and forgot to cancel our membership, which is on us so I honored the last charge in November and paid to have the wine shipped to Oregon and explicitly canceled our membership. Now I am still being charged for shipments and get no response to emails or calls, hopefully this gets their attention

This place is located inside the sugar mill. They have wine and chocolate tasting here. The wines were not great but I loved the chocolates. They charge you $5 for tasting but the fee is waived if you purchase the bottle.
