I've been coming here for the past 14 months on a bi-monthly basis. I became a member because of a man I met named Paul(?) who had impeccable customer service, which is very important to me. Everything was great until my last two visits (absent today) when staff members were borderline rude and made me feel as though I didn't belong there. It is a nice place to go, but after my last experiences, I'm thinking of canceling my membership and being done, but I'm not sure just yet. I typically give an establishment 3 chances... but we'll see. 💁🏽♀️
I was a delivery driver delivering ice this morning to this lovely Winery. A very enthusiastic and happy woman named Courtney gave me a quick history lesson on the winery when I had mentioned how beautiful I thought the estate was. Little did I know this Winery specializes in a Petite Syrah my favorite wine. I came back this evening for live music, joined the wine club and bought a bottle to take home. 10/10 vibes.
Fantastic! Great atmosphere and super service!
Nice wines and for taking a day off
We love Heringer, both their wines and their staff. Visiting the tasting room is always a very pleasant, relaxing experience. Everybody is always friendly, helpful and knowledgable. It's a perfect escape from the City. And the River Road is a very pretty drive to get there. Another great thing is that Heringer is truly a family owned winery and vineyard - that's getting to be quite rare these days. We've dropped all of our wine club memberships, except for this one. And their "Beneficials" line of non-alcoholic wine is great. It actually tastes like wine! (This is an honest review - we're not connected to Heringer in any way - other than to visit their tasting room and drink their wine.)
A great time was had by all.
Welcoming and dog friendly, great music on a Sunday. Super knowledgeable folks in this family winery, such a pleasure to visit!
We visited on Sunday 3/9/25 and had an absolutely amazing experience. It was our first time since becoming a wine club member. Patrick was our host and he was outstanding, funny and had lots of info for us. I honestly don’t believe we would have had such a great time if he wasn’t there. He allowed us to switch a Petite Syrah so that we could have a side by side comparison with the Library wines, had us taste a 2017 reserve Cab that wasn’t on the tasting list, Which we ended up buying 2 bottles of and brought me a small wine slushy for my Birthday. Our friends that were with us were so impressed with the service and the winery that they can’t wait to come back and might join the club. Thank you Patrick for making our day so fun. Cheers 🍷
First timer, lifer unlocked!! Spent this lovely Sunday tasting delicious wine, served by Patrick who cared for our every need with expertise and humor. Delightful!! Highly recommend anyone to spend the day in Clarksburg sipping Heringer wines!
Perfect Pairing events...yes! Although - ANY day on property is a good day! Been members since they were resident at Sugar Mill. Purple Thread - Chenin Blanc - Teroldego - Tempranillo...amazing! Must visit winery!!

Elena, Paul and the entire wine tasting staff are absolutely wonderful. It’s a joy to visit and sample these award winning wines with their helpful assistance.
A wonderful rainy Sunday where everything was tiickety boo
we had the best experience at heringer today! we visited today with our dog, who had the greatest time inside their tasting room. Isolde gave her some dog biscuits, and gave us some amazing history on the heringer family. we would love to come back next time we pass through clarksburg!
Always friendly service from knowledgeable staff. Great wines!
