Long wait, poor service, zero organization, and decent food. We came in for the special and waited in a long line to find out they were sold out. There was no note of it on the speciality menu. We ended up ordering off of their regular menu a el pollo focaccia sandwich and their steak focaccia sandwich. I can understand we came in during rush hour but they didn’t even give us waters. The server that brought out our food did not even ask if we needed anything else. The sandwhiches themselves were fine. Not worth waiting an hour for.
As we were leaving they turned down several customers as they had sold out of everything. If you are inclined to try this spot I recommend coming early and prepared for subpar service.

Fantastic food! The best pickles! Didn’t know you could pickle a brussel sprout, but now it’s my favorite. Salad, pizza, drinks, and pickles were all great. We came earlier in the day and they were closed but so glad we waited until after our tasting to eat. We will be back… with our kids.

I am absolutely loving Husick's by Forester! This is hands down the best pizza in Sacramento. However, I'd encourage you to try anything else on the menu- we've been here several times over the past few months and tried various menu items- the salads are fresh with really great seasonal ingredients, and we've also tried things from their specials board- have not yet been disappointed. This is a great addition to the area!

I was at Husick’s By Forester a few days ago when they had a special menu to celebrate the Lunar New Year. They have Salty Fish Fried Rice with Chicken, Pork & Shrimp Shu Mai, and Congee on top of their regular menu. I didn't expect them to have excellent Chinese food, but they did. I have the Salty Fish Fried Rice with Chicken and Shu Mai. They're so good! The fried rice is delicious, and the Shu Mai is yummy and juices. I do enjoy their Chinese food. I hope they will become part of their regular menu.
The workers at Husick’s By Forester work hard to ensure that all their guests are happy and enjoying their visit. They were so attentive and cheerful. All my friends had a lovely dinner and excellent service.

We've been coming to Husick's for years, and this is the newest iteration, one with a chef and a more upscale atmosphere. I had a special of Jamaican goat curry, and my wife had a muffuletta sandwich. She thought the meat and olives were great, and served on a soft, and somewhat underbaked focaccia or ciabatta (not sure). It ended up being like an Italian sub sandwich. It was accompanied by a delicious white bean salad. The best sandwich she's ever had at Husicks. My goat curry presented a bit more like a stew than a curry, but the meat was mild and fall-off-the-bone tender, and quite flavorful. It had soft new potatoes and a nice light sauce at the bottom of the bowl. The accompanying avocado was good, but it seemed a bit out of place on this dish. Still, it was quite tasty. Good beer tap list and a decent selection of local wines, too. The server was the single counterperson, who was pleasant. The atmosphere was again more upscale, and darker than it's been in past versions. I am a bit concerned that the upscale theme of the place may put off some of the previous regulars who frequent the place in the warmer months. It was pretty chilly inside today, too, and we and several people kept our jackets on the whole time.
Parking: Parking on north side or across the highway. Front of Husicks is for motorcycles, and also has one disabled parking stall for automobile.

Iconic spot along the river. New chef-owner (since August 2024) has done great things with the menu - fresh, local and delicious. Friendly service - you feel like a regular. Excellent choice for a meal. Nice on tap beer selection too.
