Nicki, the owner, goes above and beyond in making sure her guests are comfortable and satisfied. We’ve had brunch as well as Thai meals. Everything was super delicious! Parking is better than downtown Walnut Creek, Concord or Martinez which is another plus. Keep Skylar Bistro in mind for Art and Wine plus Concerts in the Grove later on.Parking: During festivals and concerts, nearby parking may be hard to find - nothing new there. That’s no reflection on the restaurant. Other times, there’s parking out front or across the street plus the Post Office.

This charming little restaurant is a welcome break from all the cookie cutter and corporate/celebrity chef owned businesses on the 680 corridor. Come make the short drive out to beautiful downtown Clayton and enjoy your brunch or dinner. Keep Skylar Bistro in mind for the upcoming Art and Wine Festival plus Concerts in the Grove shows.

Just revisited and it was every bit as good as the first time. I have had at least five different menu items. They were all incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel like family. The ambiance has an authentically welcoming and relaxing vibe. The new owner goes above and beyond to ensure every meal is prepared to the costumer's satisfaction. I can only assume each experience is one people will share with friends and family that will keep them coming back for more. One of the best attractions is the outstanding view of Mt Diablo and the surrounding flower adorned hills... especially if dining outside on the relaxing patio with heat lamps if needed. Can't think of any reason not to rate a full 5 stars.

Stopped here for brunch and had a great dining experience. The owner "Nicky" personally greeted us upon entry and seated us. She explained the specials on the menu and quickly took our order.We had the Poached Eggs Thai Style and Loco Moco. Both dishes were delicious and are repeat worthy.I see other items on the brunch menu as well as the dinner menu that I want to return to try.The atmosphere is cozy, hospitality focused and food on point.I will definitely be going back.

I went to Skylar Bistro for the first time and ordered the Loco Moco. That dish was so delicious gravy not so thick. I have had Loco Mocos at different restaurants in the past and the gravy has always been too thick. I also tried the mango sticky rice that was so delicious. I recommend you try that for dessert after your meal. The owner Nicky is so nice and the ambiance there is great also.

Been here 3x and the new ownership did a fantastic job listening to the feedback, change up the menu and hired a new team and chef. Place is nicely decorated and super cute. I went for breakfast and dinner so far and my fav is seafood noodles. Good portion and pair it with wine made it a lovely Saturday dinner. I had the thai fusion before and I really liked the chicken skewers. Breakfast I had the all American and I asked for a bit more potatoes and bacon, owner was super accommodating to ensure I enjoyed the meal. Place is super clean, excellent staff and gives me a cozy neighborhood vibes type of restaurant. Only request, please have bottomless mimosa and all of my friends and I will be there every weekend:) Plenty of parking and I love the cute location.

Excellent restaurant. I came here with my Mom and my brother for brunch. Portions were good sized, lots of flavor too. Also picked up some Pad Thai to go for a superbowl party. Great catering service too! Will definitely return to try out the other dishes again!!
