Harris Ranch has exceptional food and service. Been here many times and it never disappoints. If you love steak, this is the place to go. Great place to stop if you're headed to Northern CA or Southern CA. Highly recommend.
Great food. Nice resort.
Harris ranch is a must for great steak and eggs if that's what you're up for. If you do miss the breakfast menu they have steak that will melt in your mouth. Actually when we travel through the area we bring a cooler and we buy some steaks from the meat market they have. It's outstanding.
The staff at Restaurant did not perform as I thought too busy in their own gossip with others.Bar staff was on It sit at the bar area if no kids with you.
We stay at Harris Ranch 4 times a year, starting almost 4 decades ago with our drives up and down the I-5. We love the pool, the relaxing atmosphere, and the fantastic restaurants. We make it a destination or, at least, a do-not-miss. The staff members are very welcoming and pleasant. With or without our kids, we love our stops at Harris Ranch
I've now had three terrible experiences at this place that used to be a giant among steakhouses and fine dining. They have good meat, but terrible broiler cooks. They don't know the difference between rare, medium rare, medium, and well done. They Typically serve appetizers salads, and main courses all at the same time. They forget parts of your order, and then dissappear making you have to hunt them down to get any service at all... After over 40 years of going to this place, I can safely say I'm done with them. It's not worth the aggravation and consistent rotten service.
Look, I'm only one family that's not coming back there ever again after so much time. It may not matter to them, but it matters to me, considering how bad the service has been for so long, it probably matters to many other people as well.It looks like it's going to be just a matter of time before things change for the worse for them.
They've probably lasted this long because they're the only restaurant of their type in the area. I'm stearing clear, you should too...
Our go to place when driving north. Food is excellent and a convenient place for a quick pit stop
This review is for the restaurant only — and it’s an easy five stars across the board! Harris Ranch is truly a must-stop destination that delivers the quintessential American dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, and our server was delightful, personable, and genuinely cheerful — greeting us as if we were longtime neighbors.
We started with the wedge salad, which came with both blue cheese and ranch dressing, beautifully presented on a chilled plate. The lettuce was perfectly crisp and fresh, exactly how a wedge salad should be.
For mains, we ordered the pot roast and the burger. Both dishes showcased the quality of Harris Ranch’s fresh ingredients in every bite. The pot roast was tender and full of flavor, paired with mashed potatoes that felt straight out of a comforting, home-cooked classic American meal. The burger was equally satisfying, simple yet elevated by freshness and authenticity.
Overall, our experience was wonderful. Harris Ranch delivers not just a meal, but a warm and welcoming dining experience that feels timeless. I only wish they’d open a location in Los Angeles!
So many EV charging options! Not to mention window washing squeegees which are rare with charge stations.
As for the stop, almost dead center between LA and SF, ample clean restrooms, BBQ, a sit down restaurant and bakery.
If you just need to get off the road this is a full service resort with nice looking pool. Haven’t yet stayed here myself but wouldn’t mind giving it a shot. Def a place I strive to stop on my frequent drives across the state.
If you like to be transported back in time and if horses are your thing, this is a beautiful gem in I-5 that I'm discovering so late! Hard to find resorts like this one, classic and wee restored! The on site restaurant makes it so complete ✅

Way better than the average truck stop or rest stop. Get some brisket or tri-tip while you gas up. They also have places to picnic, but sometimes not enough spots with shade.
Disappointed they no longer have filet tails in the retail store. Those were the best. We would stop twice a year and buy a dozen to go each time.
Definitely an oasis must stop for the barbecue. It’s got a great pool and the property is well maintained. They just put in an RV park with a new Pickleball court. Oh yes, and the oatmeal cookies are tasty they give you at check-in. If you’re ever heading to SoCal it’s a must stop!
Only the Best in the West 🤓😎
