Read about this place as a road trip must stop. I had the shaved beef with Swiss, dip and horseradish sauce. The roll was fresh, tasty and didn’t fall apart after dipping. The beef was well above an average French dip, more liked shave prime rib. The accompanying side of fries was crunchy and fresh and I ate them all. Topped it off with one of their chocolate shakes. Gotta say it was worth the 10 minute drive off hi-way 5, far away from the typical roadside fare.

Came in off the 5 freeway to find a place to eat and sleep. The salty pickle was near the hotel. The burger was great. The french fries were better than most places but the pickle was the most delicious part of my meal. Wish I had 2-3

For a year I've watched video's of people stopping in to eat at The Salty Pickle, now I know why. Today I absolutely had the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I've EVER had, Chic Fil A nah, Popeye's no way, SALTY PICKLE far and away the very best. Bun was fresh, Chicken breaded and cooked to perfection, fresh lettuce & tomato, served with 1000 Island dressing. This place is a DEFINITE stop even if you're going by the 5 Fwy, we're stopping every time we go through Coalinga from now on. Also picked up a BLTA to go, again, sourdough roll real good and fresh, lots of bacon with avocado. Got fresh watermelon instead of fries, next time I'll be trying them. Oh yeah, last thing, get the Strawberry Lemonade, you won't regret it. 5***** Thanks guys see you again soon!
