“So happy every time I return to this spot. As an annoyingly judgy I can be about Italian food & pizze, Il Pizzaiuolo’s food is legit! A pie (there’s the “via Brooklyn” in founder Peter’s background) is the right size for a real Neapolitan - we ended up sharing 2 pies and a salad for 3 of us and it was perfect. Loved the pretty pictures on the wall- Positano (hi Le Sirenuse) especially. So grateful for this spot.“

“A friend and I stopped in while traveling. The place was busy for a 4:00 in the afternoon. The service was refreshing, friendly helpful and fast. excelled. Menu was huge. Tons of things to try. I loved my Mexican salad. So yummy. I added TRI to and it was a huge amount of meat. The avocado was perfectly ripe. My friend had the BLT and it was Huge and she said tasted great. We decided to try the bread pudding dessert and it was warm and so good, we added ice cream on top and well AMAZING! It was also large. The waitress was very attentive. We over tipped because all in all we were in and out of there in 45 minutes and back on the road. We both want to come back and bring our husbands.“

“I’ve lived in the area for 7 years and finally got around to trying Pete’s Pizza. I’m disappointed I haven’t tried it sooner…the food was excellent. We ordered a family size arugula salad which was quite fresh and plenty for 5 of us to share, along with 3 pizzas (Funguy, Conamara, and the Yuba). I’d argue it’s the best pizza in Grass Valley. The pizza is fresh, thin crust, and flavorful. Pete’s can be busy so assume your pizza will take a while, but kill some time with an appetizer and/or the salad while you wait. They also have a solid tap list and offer a tasting board!“

“We were from out of town to watch our goddaughter's softball game and stopped in afterwards to eat. It has a small town feel, but these spots are the best because people tend to be friendlier than city locations. The service was great, they had patience with us and were helpful with our menu questions. We came in as a group of about 25 people but some of us ordered separately. Salad bar was fully stocked up and they even had a little beer bar too. Very nice service and food tasted fresh and delicious.

Parking: Restaurant is located in a small shopping center but there was still plenty of parking on a Sunday around 2pm.

Kid-friendliness: There are coin operated games and prize machines for kids to play with.“
