My review of the City Hotel and What Cheer Saloon is FANTASTIC! The atmosphere takes you back to the gold rush days, and the food is as good as it gets. This is the Golden Ticket." The kobe beef burger with snake river candied bacon is next level. It's as good of a hamburger as you will eat anywhere!

To start the food delicious, the concept matching with the whole town’s 1800s made me live in that era. Great hospitality and service, plus they had live music

Enjoyed a lunch with friends. Had the mozzarella sticks and it surprised me on their size...very tasty for a hunk of cheese. The burger was awesome and well made. Was definitely a $20 burger. Only complaint was the bacon was a glazed bacon that was flamed on the grill and would have been better if not so charred. The clam chowder was a great start.

Excellent food. Had the wonderful sloppy joe with the most tender and moist beef and not the usual sweet sloppy joe, but savory. My wife had the burger with bleu cheese. Fried are house made. Extensive drink and wine menu. Service very attentive and friendly . I recommend this place if you are visiting.

Great spot. We ate from their lunch menu. My wife had the baby spinach apple salad, which she really enjoyed. My MIL had the same and the squash soup she loved the flavor. It tasted like pumpkin pie in soup form. My FIL had the bacon cheddar burger, and he said it was excellent. I went with the short ribs sloppy Joe. It was different but good. I would definitely order it again. We all shared the mozzarella skewers as an appetizer, which were so good, probably the best cheese sticks we ever had. We also had drinks at the bar. The bartender was kind enough to make us a custom drink, which was tasty and effective. The staff was very friendly. Our waitresses' name was Alana she was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend anyone to try their restaurant.

Stopped to get some food here while we waited for our photos to be printed at the photo shop near by and we were not expecting such delicious food and drink. The restaurant was surprisingly fancy considering the vibe of the rest of the shops in the street, but it just made the experience that much more

How the heck did we not hear about this place?Columbia is already an amazingly cute town. We are here for a play in town and Yelp seemed to have this restaurant as the best reviewed around. The menu looked great so we gave it a shot. WOW... Ambiance A+, server A++++Food.... Absolutely perfect!!This is our new date spot for sure. And they seem to have a pretty good selection of Plays that are a 4 minute walk from this restaurant.

Omg awesome food!! Fish and chips are enough for two people!!! Their queso was sooo good. Hubby got chicken wings and they were crispy and good. This place has excellent customer service and clean stocked bathrooms. We definitely will be returning!!
