I had a weird experience at Columbia Frosty a few months back and have stewed on the day since then.
I ordered the same Gold Rush burger I always get. When the burger arrived the server brought me a burger with only meat, cheese and bun. I took the burger back to the counter and the girl running the register took the burger but then brought it back saying "you already touched the food" I let her know I did not order this item. She then brought the burger back to my table, left and then returned with a side of lettuce, tomato etc.
Meanwhile the owner was in the back kitchen and saw what was going on. I gave up and left the food, did not complain and walked out of the building. At my car the owner showed up and apologized and offered me a dessert not a refund. So I left not eating, out my money and no refund or voucher and an offer for a frosty cone but no lunch. I have thought about going back but can't bring myself to do so. If you go to eat be sure to speak clearly, slowly and using simple words and be sure your server understands your order.

Fantastic old school town frosty with a few new kicks. Try their garlic, cheese, onion an secret sauce fries (think in n out animal style on steroids) amazing and delicious. Just be ready to hike all over Columbia historical park to work off the calories. Next to a super awesome little market and also the above mentioned historic Columbia. Right off parrots ferry easy access on and off the road, easy parking, out door seating, friendly locally owned and staffed with great people. Can't go wrong.

The Columbia Frosty offers outstanding food and beverages at very affordable prices. Located just a minute from Columbia State Historic Park to the south. You can do take out or dine inside. I had the Reuben Sandwich, fries, and a chocolate shake and they were all very tasty. I will be back the next time I visit the area.

Great burgers! The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. You are able to dine in or take out and can order from outside or inside. Outdoor patio dining is available if you prefer to eat outdoors. Did not get a chance to try a shake, but they looked delicious.
Parking: A few spaces are available at the front of the building, plenty available along the side.
Always a good stop after a hot day at Columbia State Park. We got some ice cream for the road. Always delicious.

If you want an old-school frosty freeze experience, this is it. The food is classic American fast food but in a small business environment. Everything is made to order, so patience is important if it's crowded.
Vegetarian options: The grilled cheese sandwich is meal sized. Don't order this if you don't like american cheese.
