Service slow. Server takes order from 1 menu I ordered Lobster. Was asked big or small. Menu indicated only 1 price $40. So I ordered big. She never mentioned a different price. The bill came and it was $150 The chef admitted she was supposed to clarify. I was forced to pay Larger Amount. Restaurant has potential however ethics is in question. Verify prices before order goes in👎
First time here and it's pretty new still. Only established in March 2026. I went with my Book Club ladies and we all tried different items including the Salmon, Oxtail, and Cabbage Bowl. We all really enjoyed our food. The staff is very friendly and our hostess, Nyla, was fantastic. The atmosphere is very nice. It's a big room with beautiful murals of Black artists, athletes, and others on the walls. I'll definitely return.
The food was excellent. Soothomg gospel music played in the background. The place is a whole vibe. FYI:
1. The menu is small and specialized, which makes it great for ordering. When the chef just focuses on 5 items instead 75 items the food is always better.
2. They do not offer drink refills
3. The restaurant has beautiful murals throughout.

The food is excellent and the whole vibe has gospel music played in the background. The menu is small and specialized, and the chef focuses on five items instead of many, so the food is always better. The restaurant has beautiful murals throughout and a small parking lot attached. The staff was really friendly and the customer service was great. The menu has gumbo with yams, truffle lobster tail, collard greens, oxtails, and the cabbage bowl. The gumbo is seasoned to perfection and the lobster tail and mashed potatoes are on point. Lemonade is offered to wash it down. The place is great to dine, host an event, or patronize.
