Worst pastries ever!!!! And it took awhile just for the cashier to notice me standing there! Was a horrible experience all around!!!!!

No American Express here. No logos outside the store. Don't waste your time shopping afterwards and be denied paying.
Don't expect to receive a cake if you reserve it at this location! Called this location in the morning to see if they had a Lemon Cake available for my boyfriend's birthday. The manager, Natalie, confirmed it was available. I promptly placed a mobile order in the app right after the call to pay and reserve the cake. When we arrived to the Concord location to pick up the cake, the man we spoke to at the register seemed uneasy after we told him we were here to pick up the Lemon Cake we had placed an order for. He grabbed the manager, Natalie, and she went with him to the back to double check for the order. Natalie confirmed they sold the cake to someone else before we arrived. I'd also like to note that she was laughing when she told us they sold the cake to someone else, and said this had happened several times before. What I don't understand is that if it has happened before, then why were there not improvements made amongst your team's communication to correct this? There was no responsibility taken either, instead blaming your workers for not putting it aside. As the manager, why don't you take 1-2 minutes to double check and ensure orders are placed aside, ESPECIALLY if you're aware it's happened multiple times? The back fridge is maybe 6 steps away from the front of cake display.
I purchased a lovely cake from Tous les Jours instead. I would recommend them as their customer service is considerably better. They provide candles, matches, and a cake slicer in addition to the happy birthday chocolate.
I have not received my refund either for the cake and this happened a week ago.

A chain, but really cool. Inexpensive for the value. Cakes are cheap compared to other places and cute cakes and Asian inspired desserts are neat. Next time im in Concord I'll stop back in

I love this place and always make sure to go when I’m in town since there’s none around where I live. The pastries are pretty good for the price and the wait usually isn’t too long.
However, today I decided to order a Lychee Green Tea along with the rest of my pastries. As I watched them make my order, I saw that the baristas ran out of green tea while preparing my drink. Instead of refilling the tea and giving me the amount called for in the recipe, they left my drink about 30% underfilled and added extra ice to compensate and look like the cup was filled to the top. This threw off the sweetness in my tea and I barely got to drink any of it before it ran out. I understand that it can be busy, but I wish they could ask before just adding extra ice, because I was willing to wait for them to refill the green tea. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll order any more drinks here after today.

You would think that when they open or maybe at least an hour after opening they would have a lot of their pastries ready. 1 1/2 after opening the bread bar is only half full. Also they never have the Vietnamese Ice Coffee. I have came here 4 times this week at different times of the day and NONE! The cashier said they didn’t have tome to make it this morning. How are you not ready to offer your patrons what is on the menu. Especially when some of these patrons come out of their way to visit your business! Also this is on a SUNDAY morning! Extremely disappointing!

Improve your customer service. I bought a mango panna cotta a week and a half ago; in which the mango was not ripe at all,and panna cotta had no flavor. I called the store the same day and spoke to a supervisor about a refund or a replacement. She said to come in with the picture I took of it and it would be replaced. Anywho
today, I went and spoke to the supervisor on shift, and this woman was acting like I was lying over a $5 dessert. Be for real. If I had a receipt from 2 weeks ago? Who I spoke to? Did I call the right location? I live 6 mins away. I know which location I called. Giving an awkward and weird look. I'm a nurse, and I trust I don't need to lie about $5. Then, when I was over the interrogation, she told me she would refund me. I told her not to worry about it because she acted like I was lying about something so simple. I come to this location all the time.
