Update:

6 years later they are still selling same cheaply made fake pakistani food without any taste or spices/masala. I thought they would be bankrupt by now but people in CA dont really know what actual desi food is. Disapointing. I ate desi food in 47+ countries and all around the US and this by far is the worse.

If u are a desi or from Karachi/Lahore. AVOID. Its for non-desis like Arabs, Persians, Turks and whites. Desis, Go to Fremont if u can.

I hate to write this as i have been to this place over 20 times over a year and staff there is just kind and awesome. Each time the food was tasteless to my desi taste buds. Maybe its because all Pakistani dishes are being quick cooked in fry pans who knows. Honestly PIA airplane food has more taste than this place. Ill just advise them to use Shan masala because they have failed to bring any original taste to these excellent dishes. Im sorry to all non-indian/pakistani people eating here. Our cuisine is all about spices and rich tastes and this restaurant is just opposite. This restaurant can survive here in CA but if it was in NYC, it would have already filed for bankruptcy.

The food was alright 👍🏽. But the place was something else. If you want the REAL Indian/Pakistani experience. Don’t come here. But still the food was pretty good and I recommend coming here if you don’t care about the atmosphere and how the place looks. (THIS IS A SELF SERVICE RESTAURANT)
*you have to bring plates, utensils, drinks, glasses, napkins, straw, etc to your table, (but food will be served to your table)

We had a wonderful experience at Anarkali! Our party of 10 arrived after 9:00 PM, and they graciously accommodated us without hesitation. The service was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious -- fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Every dish was thoroughly enjoyed, and we truly appreciated the hospitality so late in the evening. Thank you to the staff and kitchen for making our night so delightful. Highly recommended!

🌟 Anarkali – A Culinary Jewel of Indian & Pakistani Halal Cuisine! 🌟
If you haven’t been to Anarkali, you’re seriously missing out on one of the most vibrant, flavor-packed, and soul-satisfying culinary experiences in town! Nestled in a cozy yet lively corner, Anarkali isn't just a restaurant — it's a celebration of culture, flavor, and warmth.
From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted not only by the mouthwatering aroma of spices wafting from the kitchen but also by the genuinely welcoming vibe of the staff and owners. Let me tell you — the owners here aren’t just managers. They are rockstar hosts who treat every guest like family. Their passion radiates through the entire space, and their commitment to excellence is evident in every dish served.
Now let’s talk food — because WOW. 🤯
Anarkali delivers a flavor explosion with every bite. Whether you're a fan of rich, buttery Chicken Karahi, aromatic Lamb Biryani, or the melt-in-your-mouth Seekh Kebabs — everything is crafted to perfection using authentic spices, fresh ingredients, and love. And don't even get me started on the naan — pillowy, crispy-edged, and the perfect companion to every curry.
And vegetarians — don’t worry! The Paneer Tikka Masala and Chana Masala are equally mind-blowing. Balanced, bold, and bursting with flavor.
What makes Anarkali stand out is the way it combines the bold, traditional tastes of Indian and Pakistani cuisine with an ambiance that’s super cool, modern, and inclusive. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to — whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, celebrating a family event, or just chilling with friends.
💥 The Vibe? Off the Charts! 💥
The music, the décor, the friendly energy of the staff — everything here is just so positive. It’s hard not to smile when you’re surrounded by great people, great service, and food that makes your tastebuds dance.
And here's the best part — it's all 100% Halal and made with integrity, respect for tradition, and a whole lot of heart.
🔥 Bottom line? Anarkali is a MUST-VISIT.
✨ Delicious.
✨ Exquisite.
✨ Authentic.
✨ Full of heart.
Whether you’re a foodie, a culture lover, or just someone looking for a great meal in an awesome environment — Anarkali delivers, every single time.

I love everything abiut this family runned restaurant. On my 1st visit, I ordered Garlic Naan and Tikki Masala Sause with rice, as I'm not a real meat eater. I must say that my food was delicious. What I also enjoyed was the complimentary hot tea that was made available in the dining room. My 2nd visit was a week later and again order the Garlic Naan but this time adding Curry Shrimp and Tikki Masala Shrimp. Everything was delicous but its something about the Masala sauce that I love the most. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. I really appreciated the owner recognizing me on my 2nd visit and asking me if the spice level was okay.

One of the best desi restaurants I have been too. We were visiting from out of town and tried this place. Food is so authentic, and well priced. We tried a bunch of things from the menu and each one impressed us. It was just delicious!

Absolutely the worst Indian/Pakistani food experience I’ve ever had. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala—my go-to dish at every South Asian restaurant—and it was a complete disaster. The chicken was raw, completely inedible, and the sauce had a sour, spoiled smell like it had been sitting out for days. I also got the rice, which reeked like sweat—disgusting enough that I had to throw it straight in the trash.

The naan? Barely cooked and so tough I couldn’t even chew it. On top of the awful food, be aware that the menu prices are misleading—expect to pay $5–$10 more than what’s listed.

I usually try to point out both positives and negatives, but in this case, there’s absolutely nothing good to say. This place was a huge disappointment from start to finish.

If you’re a fan of Chicken Tikka Masala, do not ruin your taste buds here. You’ve been warned.
