Haven't been in a while. We visited for my birthday and it was fine. I forget how noisy it can be with all the people and birthday celebrations. The waitress was attentive and our chef was entertaining. The food overall was good, but I think he forgot salt and pepper on the vegetables and the filet mignon. We got our photo and it was very blurry and distorted. We had already waited awhile to settle our check, so we didn't ask for a retake.

I'm not sure I'd go back. It was 2 hours from when we were seated until we left, and the first 45 min we just kind of sat there while two different servers took drink orders and asked about allergies. Not efficiently staffed or run. The bathrooms were dark. The last time we went, we waited over an hour for a table even though we had reservations. For $150 for 2, there are many nicer and more efficient places we can dine.

Our overall experience at Benihana was genuinely positive and memorable, largely because of the professionalism and grace shown by the staff. Unfortunately, we were seated with another couple who immediately expressed visible discomfort about sitting with a mixed family. Their behavior escalated further when our chef arrived (who was African-American), and it became clear their reactions were rooted in prejudice.
