Digger's Diner Concord

My daughter and I had some things to take care of in the area and decided to have brunch/lunch to kill time. I came across Digger's Diner when Goggled "Restaurants near me." It had great reviews, so we checked out the menu and then made our way over. The diner has a homey atmosphere upon entering, and my daughter and I were immediately greeted and shown where to sit. Our waitress was super friendly and polite. I could tell this was a place that had regulars by the conversations the waitresses, including mine had with the customers. I thought this was cool. As for the food, my daughter ordered the blueberry pancakes with chicken sausage. She said the pancakes were delicious! I bet they were because they looked super fluffy the perfect thickness, and the berries were so huge and blump! I ordered the chicken scramble with egg white and replaced my side of fruit with a side of cottage cheese. I did have to add a lot of salt and pepper to give it flavor, but this is what you get when you order from the "lighter side" of the menu....yeah I'm on a diet, lol!!! My meal was overall good, and the salsa that was included with tasted great! If I'm ever in the area again and need a bite to eat, I would come here again. It's a cool little spot. I just hope I'm not dieting so I can try a menu item other than eeg whites, lol!!!

Definitely a good place to eat and drink coffee and meet up with family. If the gravy is good then it's all good. Plenty of menu selections for any appetite. Good prices. Good people. Very welcoming. Met Digger himself. A real guy with a great attitude.

Yesterday, we had breakfast here because it was recommended by the Hyundai rep while we waited for the car to get maintenance done. We were immediately seated. Our orders were taken in a timely manner. The waitress was nice and helpful. We waited about 15 to 20 mins for our food. We were told that there were issues with the kitchen staff, new staff being trained, etc. Honestly, she stated it was a bad day for them, so we should have been told that prior to ordering so we could have decided to go somewhere else. When the food came, my bacon was burnt (I asked for crispy, not burnt), and my French fries were cold. How does food that takes so long to find out come out cold and wrong? My wife's biscuit was together in the top and broken up on the bottom AND served on a dirty plate. We sent all the above back. He country potatoes had no seasoning on them, and the omelet looked on cooked on the egg portion. The food and cheese that was supposed to be cooked in the inside because it is an omelet was not put together as an omelet. It was like the egg just served as a blanket. She did not eat the majority of her food. This does not happen often. The biscuit was good the 2nd time. My bacon came back the same way, I ate around the burnt areas. The bacon was salty.

The manager or owner (I'm unsure of who he was. He did not introduce himself) walked around asking how everything was. I was very honest. He took off 20% from the bill. We will not be going back.

My burger was well over cooked and dry. Also had the garlic fries, and the garlic was burnt and bitter tasting.
