I came in and ordered a plate of oxtails it was so good I went back and ordered another plate. When I got my second plate the rice was so hard like it’s been sitting out for a day or 2 and the oxtails barely had any meat on it. My stomach started hurting so bad I had to go to the emergency room just to find out I had gotten food poisoning! Smh. Can’t trust other people with your food.

Amazing service and food! Staff is friendly and caring! We ended up getting the alligator with dirty rice and fries for sides (also came with cornbread and corn), 4 whole fried chicken wings, the size of baby Pterodactyl wings! And the shrimp&grits. Definitely coming back!💜

My co-workers and I ordered via DoorDash and based on their reviews the food should have been good(reviews were from early 2023). WE WERE ALL DISAPPOINTED. We all ordered fried chicken which was barely seasoned, and had the overwhelming taste of days old reused grease. Again it wasn’t greasy but tasted of old grease. The greens and mac & cheese were also lacking flavor. Last but not least the yams were overly sweetened with brown sugar and the corn muffin was really strange. The consistency was off as if the corn muffin was unsure if it was truly cornbread or just bread some kinda of hybrid corn muffin. If you’re looking for soul food because you noticed the fried chicken, greens, yams, red beans rice, mac & cheese and other foods listed on the menu THERE IS NOTHING SOULFUL about this food. Big mama didn’t live in this household for sure. I do need to mention the fried Oreos were great and we ate those for lunch instead.

Oh my GOODNESS this is the best fried food restaurant I've ever been to. The meals themselves were immaculate and were ready quick, the desserts were just so damn good and I cannot stress enough how badly y'all gotta eat here. The Dirty Rice was also so damn good and the ladies working there are the sweetest people you'll ever meet :)
