The short ribs had good flavor but it couldn't actually be eaten by anyone besides a barbaric cave man!! Chewy chunks of hard fat, couldn't even chew it down to swallow.
Yucko!!!!!

Foods great but it's usually hit or miss if you go early to get some food. Most times I've gone by lunch(11:30) and they are still closed. Maybe update the open hours. Bummer having to go some place

I paid for two combo meals and got two kid meals instead. $50 for two hamburgers that were more the size of a slider. The meat patty’s about as thick as 3 playing cards. No Kamaʻāina rate either- got the ol’ mainlander treatment- I guess I need to work on my tan.

The moment we walked in we knew we had made a mistake. Menu was less that impressive. Got some horrible food poisoning. I haven’t thrown up in 8 years and it hit me hard after this place. Short ribs were just fat and bone.
The Kailua pork was terrible. Lots of fat chunks and what little meat that was left after I removed the fat, was dry and flavorless. The spam musabi was pretty good.I've gone back on 2 different occasions for the Spam musabi dobby and the third time it was not good Spam musabi it was barely warm it didn't have any seasoning it just was a chunk of Spam on top of some rice it was not good the final time it's unfortunate because this place has potential to be really great.
Everything here is delicious ! I’ve returned many times and will continue coming here! Give it a try! You won’t be sorry! Also, the portions are humongous! Nowadays when prices everywhere are high, the Hawaiian Drive In definitely gives you your money’s worth!

This new Hawaiian-barbecue restaurant that recently opened in Concord is exploding with flavor! We tried the Kalua pork and the barbecued short ribs – both were wonderfully juicy and savory. The ribs were especially tender and delicious; I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique barbecue experience. And the Hawaiian sun drink was a great addition!

Very Satisfied with their service.Overall the food was great. Huge Portion for the price! ?The Katsu was fresh and Tasty. Not Dry at All.Will be back for more ?
The portions are HUGE. This place is affordable and have good quality food. The BEST Hawaiian food in this area. My personal favorites are the short ribs, katsu, and musubis. Will definitely come back and try other things on the menu!
Portions are huge, food is good, the owner Maggie is super nice. She's hustling all over to make people happy, open the door for them, give them a hand loading their car. I love to go into a small mom and pop shop where the owner is front and center and working their butt off with a smile.I got the katsu chicken and it was fried really well. A really clean juicy chicken. Masubi was also great. I'll be back!
