Beyond sweet staff, the people (and delicious food) are making this place an absolute gem to the community. Glad to have stumbled in here.

It was just me when I went in, very polite server, I had just gotten back from a strenuous hike and was looking to eat good food. The food was delicious if I ever hiked up Mt. Diablo from bottom to peak again, I'll definitely come back here.

This place is truly authentic. Nice little spot with amazing food. Ordered the garlic eddumame for starter great snack. Got a bunch of sushi it was incredibly fresh. The miso soup was delicious. Clams were also fresh and tasty. It's a hidden gem. The staff were super friendly, I will definitely be back.

We are in town for work, and I soooo much needed to find real authentic home cooked Japanese food! Izakaya An was so wonderful with delicious tasty dishes, just like in Japan. If you’re looking for an actual authentic experience, come here!

Two sweet ladies working hard and served my fiance and I delicious bento boxes and sushi rolls. Will definitely be back. The Kara-Aga (if I spelled it right) was some of the best fried chicken I have ever had.

an absolute gem located in not so popular spot!!! plenty of parking on the weekend, delicious food with good portions, attentive and nice staff, very relaxing and chill vibe - loved EVERYTHING about it!!! will definitely come back!

The food is IMPECCABLE. It is always high quality, from the fish to the mushrooms to seaweed to tea. I've been a few times and they are so warm and welcoming. The aesthetic is cute and the music playing was sooo relaxing, what a dreamy atmosphere. Not to mention the fancy bathroom, there are even toothpicks and mouthwash.
