There are so many good things to say about this place. The owner and staff are like family and always treat us with kindness. Sometimes there is a wait, but that is because everything is made from scratch. It is worth the wait and worth every penny. Fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine. I love this place!

We ordered delivery from here, which can always be hit or miss with the way food travels. The way the food packed up was fine, but I was disappointed in the food overall. The tonkatsu broth was just ok but the portion of meat that came with it was tiny (not to mention very overcooked and charred) and there were so many noodles it seemed like they were trying to make up for the meat situation. My partner and I agree that the portion sizes were overall pretty small for the price and the food quality was just ok. I don't think I would come back.

The food is IMPECCABLE. It is always high quality, from the fish to the mushrooms to seaweed to tea. I've been a few times and they are so warm and welcoming. The aesthetic is cute and the music playing was sooo relaxing, what a dreamy atmosphere. Not to mention the fancy bathroom, there are even toothpicks and mouthwash.

Soooooooo happy this place came to Concord!!! Just when I was feeling we moved to a culinary desert, surrounded by Little Cezars, Starbucks, and a Golden Coral (that Concordians are enthusiastically excited for some reason) Izakaya An has arrived! We popped in here being cautiously optimistic for some Japanese cuisine and we were overly suprised how delicious it was!!! If you've been to Japan or you're seeking a truly more traditional place this is spot on. Udon was amazing! The karaage, udon(chicken), mixed tempura, pork belly, and beef skewers were DELICIOUS!!! The only thing that made it better was the smile on their faces and the sweet lady that owns the place coming out to say hello and check on us.There were three other tables there with people having fun and seemed to be enjoying their food too.Love this place and will certainly be back to keep supporting this wonderful family establishment! Thanks so much for the great food and service! The Asahi was promptly refilled too :)Update 10 Jan 22: Izakaya now offering sushi rolls. They are delicious!!!Update 16 Mar 24: This place is still amazing!

One of the most truly authentic Japanese izakaya-style restaurants I've found in this area. I've been to many izakayas in Tokyo and the food here is exactly like I remember from Japan. Also one of the only places I've found that does tempura really right. Really, I'd be perfectly happy just eating their kinpura with some Kikumasamune Taro sake for hours on end, though.Parking: Plenty of parking. Parking lot is right in front and never full.Wheelchair accessibility: On ground floor with easy wheelchair access.

Delicious food and very authentic. Only problem is the service is slow. Not sure what else to say.

I came here on family's recommendation - it's their favorite spot for sushi. I wasn't as convinced but they like it for its authenticity (small business, and you can see who's making the food). The service is really friendly and polite, which I appreciated so much. We got a bunch of food. The natsu bate was basically like the dragon roll except eel inside instead of shrimp. I liked it a lot. I also got the lion king roll. It wasn't as good as Ozora's. The salmon on top was like mush, and not flakey. What's nice about this place is that they have a vegan box! The place itself is a little dated, but because of that, it feels homey. Not much seating, so might not be able to accommodate large groups. Bonus: their toilet seat is heated.

The woman who waited on us was a delight. The sake she recommended, came in a can, was delicious. The food was great and felt very authentic (haven't been to Japan so I could be wrong, but it didn't come across like most of the American Japanese restaurants I have been to). 10/10 and my wife and I will be coming back. Too many things we still want to try. I had the udon with chicken and she had a meal set with Saba Mackerel. Awesome!

I've ordered here before so this was my second time doing delivery with them. I got the 3 item bento box with chicken teriyaki, tempura veggies, and cali roll. It also came with miso soup and a side of rice. Everything was pretty good except the chicken teriyaki. Very flavorless and weird cuts of chicken. I probably won't order from here again, but everything else was very good.

Had a great time at Izakaya tonight. First time and I love Japanese food... so I wanted to try a few things. The chriashi was presented beautifully with a mini shisho leaf and salmon row. However, the tuna had some red coloring rub off on the rice. It was fresh but a lower quality for a sushi restaurant but I ate it anyways (The only real low point). Most Japanese restaurants also order the Tamago instead of the chef making it fresh in the United States so that was fine... though I always ask... so that I can taste the chefs signature dish. I then order a yakatori with the sauce. So glad I did... and next time I will try with the Japanese salt. I also noticed a rice soup that you do not find often at Japanese restaurants. The ochazuke with the spicy cod row was a hidden gem. This was amazing. The service was attentive. The place start to get packedThe ambiance was a very nice Japanese's decorated restaurant and clearly has been a Japanese restaurant for a while with the decorations and layout.

Food is right down the middle not terrible not great. Portions are small and I'm thinking about getting something to eat after we leave here. The worst part though is the service. It is unbelievably slow. We were just about to walk when the server came to take our order.. I give it two stars for the bathroom which has a very fancy toilet. My advice. Go elsewhere.

Very legit place for Japanese food. It's a bit small, so be prepared for a wait.
