La Tapatia Méxican Restaurant and Cantina | Concord

Our family and friends celebrated at home with an array of our favorites for all tastes. The staff went all out for us with abundant sides. Leftovers for days later. Our family and guests were 😃. Reasonable expenses. Will do again!

The Employees at this Restaurant took a couple that was standing behind me, then came back & grabbed the family of 4 without asking me if I needed a table, she said I was a single & she was gonna take me to the Bar Area.

Service was good except the hostess seated us at a table that hadn't been cleaned since the previous diners as there was bits of shredded cheese and crumbs on the table. The waitress was super nice, got our orders correct, and filled drinks in a timely manner. The food was mid. Lacking depth of flavor across the board. I am Latina so maybe my expectations are too high but my chicken and the sauce on my chili relleno tasted only of salted tomatoes. No depth of flavor. The chili relleno had a fantastic batter but the sauce brought the dish down. The salsa was very mild and we weren't given the option of any spice levels. My son said his ground beef tasted like it was only seasoned with salt and pepper. My daughter got mole and it was very sweet at the front end (as described since labeled as sweet mole) but left a mild heat at the end of the bite. Carne asada portion was rather small for $23. Lots and lots of peppers and onions served along side. The carne asada was flavorful. Probably won't be back as there are many more affordable Mexican food spots but I can see why some people really like this place.

Parking is terrible, so come earlier than the evening crowd. But the food is amazing! ??

The guy working at the bar at the time was very rude to me! I had ordered takeout they had forgot to give some hot sauce with the food I ordered. When I asked the guy at the bar if I could have some hot sauce he got very angry at me for I don't know why. I haven't gone back to that restaurant. I would rather have great service decent food than poor service food food.

We stopped there after a long day of work and physical labor. The staff and host were extra nice and professional. The chips tasted fresh, and the red salsa was amazing, the green salsa was hot. Once we ordered, the food came out quickly. I had the Chile Verde burrito plate, and it was great. My wife had the shrimp fajita, it was tasty, a little greasy, but she liked it. My cousin had the Enchilada and Chili Relleno, and she finished her dinner, she never does. And the staff all around were polite, professional, and friendly.

We eat here frequently. The service is always friendly and good. They're well staffed and attentive. I'm always happy with the food. Imo their salsa is the best anywhere. I think the tomatoes are roasted and it adds a deeper layer of flavor.
