I’m shocked they have a 4.4 rating. The sandwiches were disappointing—both in taste and in presentation. The toppings were barely there, and what was added was all piled on one side. The coleslaw had a really weird flavor, like none I ever had, and I really like coleslaw. It was inedible!

I remember the last time I was here about 5 years ago. The place was bubbly, with the music going, the owner and a bunch of Italians chatting, but walking in today, just seems dreary. I'm not sure if this place has changed owners/management because the store looks a bit rundown now. Anyway, my sandwich was alright. I always enjoyed their sweet roll, but where are the ingredients? It's all bread. I hope the deli sticks around, cause whenever I’m in Concord I look forward to having a sandwich from here. I don't have high hopes at this point.

They changed ownership and now it's not the same. Food is not fresh like before. Go to Parma deli up the street. Better sandwiches and fresh rolls and fresh pasta made daily.

I stopped in hearing excellent recommendations for this Delicatessen. I was impressed. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They use fresh ingredients and it's made to order. Thank you for the great experience.

Atmosphere is a little down, they need some background music, but sandwiches and servings are great and taste as good as always.

Delis should be dressed up better. Looks more like a warehouse. Food was fine, plastic utensils.

Awesome place, great food cut to order. Very generous sized sandwiches at a decent price. Made 2 meals out of it :)

This deli is among my favorites in the Diablo Valley. Furthermore, they are helpful and charitable, and they provide outreach meals for downtrodden people.

I always like coming to Luigi's for an Italian Dagwood when I'm in the area. I stopped by today to pick up a sandwich and when I got to my destination I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. Normally there's so much meat on my sandwich that I can barely open my mouth wide enough to take a bite. Today I opened the sandwich and there was literally two slices of each meat. Look at the photo that Lawrence Williams posted 3 years ago. That's how it's supposed to look. I posted two pics of my sandwich on the website. There was a new girl with glasses working there today. I've never seen her before. Maybe she just needs to be properly trained on how to make sandwiches. I get more lunch meat on a sandwich at Safeway and for $15 I think I got ripped off. It was pretty pitiful. Next time I stop in I will speak with the manager. The ladies that have been working there for years know how to do it right. I'm sorry to say that this is the first time I had a bad experience like this. I've been coming here for years. Please don't make me choose another sandwich shop!

I have been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Bought salami and Swiss also ham and Swiss both on sour dough bread. Excellent sandwiches. The potato salad was really good to.

My sandwich appeared to be big at first but the contents were fairly small. I even noticed that my sandwich was missing tomatoes half way through, I was distracted by the amount of bread I had to chew that I didn't notice the missing tomatoes. The taste is great but the contents were not a lot.

Really amazing food, we’ve been several times and are never disappointed. I always prefer to go to local deli’s for sandwiches as I’m a fan of quality, not a fan of “fast food” sandwich chains. The line can get a little long, but I take that as a sign that the food is good and I don’t mind waiting for a bit! I do wish they had more seating options inside the store, I’ve felt odd sort of lingering while I wait for my food when the tables are full. It’s been hit and miss with the staff, some have been very interactive and personable. There was only one time the employee who helped us (it was my first time seeing her there) was a bit dry, but maybe she was having an off day. Thats not a deal breaker for me, you never know what someone’s going through and I know I’ve had tough days at my job! Overall it’s a great spot and we will continue to go anytime we want a sandwich and we’re in Concord! Thanks Luigis for being a gem in the community.

Parking: Large parking lot as it’s in a small “strip mall”. We’ve never had any issues finding parking here.

Kid-friendliness: Every time we go my son is with us and we’ve never had any issues. They’re always super kind and patient with him because, despite the wait, he’s never fully prepared when we get to to the register.
