O M G if you are debating on whether you should eat here or not, let me make it easy for you --GO NOW!! My party ordered chicken chow mein, honey walnut shrimp, assorted green beans, and sesame chicken. Everything was so delicious! My mouth is watering just typing this. Received a pro tip to leave the sesame chicken to go box open to keep the chicken crispy. Game changer - that chicken was so crispy. Everything had so much flavor. Sometimes I get tired of the honey walnut shrimp sauce, but that was not the case here!! Tell you what, I think I only saved the rest of my party three pieces of shrimp LOL. Serving sizes were also generous. Staff was very friendly and helpful. COVID: I think they primarily do to go orders. but even with to go orders, they provided us with orange slices. The sweetest surprise. SUPPORT LOCAL AND EAST GOOD TODAY!!

My partner and I love the Wangs. They work so hard to turn out some of the best Chinese food in the East Bay. My partner loves the Hot and Spicy Noodle Soup and their Kimchee and Chopchae are the best! We are loyal customers forever.

Our family 'go to' place for Chinese food for over 15 years. Sherry and Ray are wonderful hosts. Thanks.

I had been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. COVID restrictions aside (not being able to dine in), this restaurant serves one of the best tasting Chinese food in the area. It does not have fancy decor, however, the chef quality is consistently good. The menu is a combination of Korean and Chinese, so you can find Korean noodle dishes. (They don’t have Korean BBQ)

Mandarin Garden is my Chinese mom's go to place since we're out in Concord ever since they changed the chef at New Lim Garden (a long while ago) and the owners changed for Jia Jia Luck (also a while ago, i think that was its name?). Normally we prefer oakland chinatown but that's just too far. And for east east bay chinese food, this place is pretty good. It's run by korean people so it has a mix of chinese and korean stuff like the black bean noodles (which we have yet to get). My family likes the salt and pepper fish, honey walnut prawns, the sesame chicken, the green beans, and the beef with the white crunchy noodles dish. We also got the chow fun, which was eh compared to other chowfun you can get from places like ranch 99 but it wasn't bad? Wider noodles that sorta clumped but they tasted alright. Maybe a 3/5? We tried the spicy noodle soup for the first time and the broth was good - kinda tasted like soondoobu/tofu stew without the tofu but the noodles felt bland. Everything else was pretty tasty though. In the past we've also gotten the eggplant and everyone likes it even if it does burn your mouth from how much heat it retains.

Finding a good Chinese Restaurant seems to be more & more difficult. I was excited to try Mandarin Garden but it ended up being a let down. We ordered takeout & although the portions were large & the food was hot, it just felt like everything was off. We ordered sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, beef chow mein, & egg fried rice. It felt like every dish just lacked something (flavor wise). Out of all the dishes the Mongolian beef was the best. The beef was very tender and the veggies were tasty. The food was ready fast & the owners are nice, however I don't think we will be returning.

Mandarin Garden has the best Won Ton Soup & Walnut Prawns in the area. I have been going there for 25 years and have never had a meal I didn't like. The staff is friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. Due to COVID, it's pick up only, right now, but the food is great even when you get it home. I highly recommend Mandarin Garden. It's right next door to Jack in the Box on Monument in Concord. ENJOY!

I love this place; I have been eating here for 30 years. The owner Zeeshew, I probably didn't spell that right, is always there serving me. She hasn't aged at all in thirty years.Their sweet and sour soup is the best I've had. I like the three meat Kung Pao; it's always fresh, and the vegetables are always cooked to perfection.

I have been eating here for over 20 years. The owners are fantastic people and respected members of our local community. Chinese food is my favorite food to eat and I eat here at least once a week. The food is always fresh and flavorful and in my opinion the best Chinese food around!

In the midst of COVID, they have taken great precautions and made the environment feel safe for order pick-up and ordering to-go. As far as food, it's by far the best in the area because the food isn't greasy and it's packed with flavor! I didn't find the need to add soy sauce or other sauces because it was so well seasoned. Items I ordered were orange chicken, broccoli beef, and Hong Kong style pan fried noodles.

Mandarin Garden is an awesome restaurant. Their food is always fresh and really good. The prices are reasonable and the quantity of food is great for the price.

Best chinese food my husband and I have ever had in the Bay Area. I've been eating there for over 15 years and I got my husband hooked on this place 10 years ago. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I've been coming here since I was a kid! I also had my first communion and several birthday parties here. By far, the closest relationship I have with a restaurant. Shirley and Ray are amazing people and cook outstanding food. I've had plates here that I haven't been able to find at any other restaurant, or quality that comes close. Their chow mein is the best I've ever had. The crispy ginger chicken with the sauce on the side is also incredible. Then, of course, you have your classics - Mongolian beef, broccoli beef, pepper chicken and the list goes on. Restaurants like this are become increasingly hard to find and we must do everything we can as communities to keep them going! These chains and malls are pure grade A garbage compared to this and we don't need anymore Chipotles or Panda Expresses to pop up. Try this place and I assure you, you'll be happy!
