I’ve gone here 3 times and I’ve never had issues. Food is always cooked fresh and delicious as soon as I order.

Really tasty food conveniently located in the Veranda! My kids love their fries and my husband and I enjoy their pho every single time. The workers are very friendly and they have outdoor seating right where the kids can play. I enjoy coming here and will make a trip out here specifically for Mrs. Pho. Thank you!

I tried to get lunch at Mr. Pho in the Veranda, Concord, CA. The teenager behind the counter ignored me as I waited to order food. I could see her and another female employee in the kitchen talking. They made eye contact with me through the pass through window but continued to ignore me. So, I had to go get lunch at Ko-Cup (a much different experience). I will avoid Mr Pho in the future.

Seating was outdoors but they have heating, which helps. Tables were dirty, and when asked if someone can clean, we were ignored. We cleaned the table ourselves. We ordered the house pho and classic pho. Both were decent but missing basil. The Pho was served with cilantro, bean sprouts and lime. But what is pho without basil? The establishment is situated next to a play ground. Great spot for people with children. I guess we should have known better when we saw two menus: a pho menu and a hot dog menu. Feels a little like my culture was driven through the mud. Should have called been called Mrs Hot dog mall pho.

Solid 3 stars for the mozzarella corn dogs I didn't know what to expect since I never had them before but I did have my 12 year old daughter's expertise with me so I was good lol. She gave it a 3.5 It was light and not oily. So there's a plus The mozzarella was mozzarella'ing soft and stretchy as we bit into the corn dogs, the dough was a bit on the doughy side and bland.. with a hint of sweet. It wasn't bad but it wasn't like " omg I must have this again!" Either .. I'm sure the other flavors would be good , I think they had takis and hot Cheetos coated ones they had had a sausage option instead of mozzarella or half sausage and half mozzarella. So there's plenty of options. Ok so now the service ... It was slow but the place was made to order so that's fine and it was pretty busy with kids enjoying their winter break and ice skating. So now.. the issue When I purchased my food I asked the cashier if they also have fries.. she kindly said yes .. so I said I'll take a order of fries too As I was waiting for my order I looked at my receipt and realized I was charged 11.99 for chicken tenders AND fries ..and on the receipt it said " no chicken tenders " Okay yes I asked for fries but I wasn't aware I was going to be charged for chicken tenders with no tenders .. had that been explained to me I wouldn't have bothered.. it just doesn't make sense . When I went back to the cashier I explained I wouldn't have gotten fries had I known I was going to be charged for tenders and fries .. I asked for a refund and although she gave me one she had to speak with the manager who had a bit of an attitude, and spoke in Tagalog basically complaining and stating that I ordered fries.. I did understand their language as I'm Filipino so I explained .. I specifically asked the cashier for fries it was NOT explained that I was to be charged for a full meal. Otherwise I wouldn't haven't ordered the fries. Other than that little mishap solid 3 on the corn dogs. The wait was about 30 mins

The pho broth was delicious and much better than expected for the location. They serve yummy Korean hotdogs as well. Service is quick for outdoor dining service only and few workers. Great family-friendly location with lots of things going on at the Veranda shopping complex. Limited drinks and no Vietnamese dessert option.

Mrs. Pho is a great little shop they you may not notice at first. Mrs Pho is located in the Veranda shopping center with only outside seating. The location is specifically next to pop bar and the children play structure. It's a great stop for a quick meal or snack while the kids play. The cashier was friendly and efficient. Whole I didn't have any questions, she did help the family before me with some small questions about the options and what they're made out of. My spouse and I ordered the King Pho and the House Pho. Both were excellent and had a nice flavor profile. The star anise was present and added the right amount of balance. The meat from both were very tender and tasty. They were out of basil which was unfortunate but reasonable on an extremely busy day. The only downside was that seating is limited and we had to sit next to the cotton candy machine which was less than enjoyable with an almost constant line of kids/teens/families who would gather on both sides of the table and ask to use our table to hold their stuff while they get cotton candy or record videos of it.

Had the fried rice, spring rolls and the pho. Pho was decent, no frills, small portion, relatively expensive for what it was. I'd get it again if I was in the area and in a pinch Spring rolls were also decent, no frills. I'd also get it again for a quick snack. Fried rice was very wet/mushy and lacking in flavor. It needs something, I chose sriracha which made it taste better but even more mushy. I would not get it again. I had corn dogs from the same place which were pretty decent.

By far the worst pho I've ever had. It did not even taste like pho and had none of the traditional spices/flavors they typically use. The broth tasted like dirty water and had no flavor. Very disappointing.

Update 10/06/2023 Food still tastes great, but their portions have definitely gotten smaller (for their pho). Tried their bulgolgi fried rice which was pretty tasty. Will try their other rice dishes, looks promising

I'm surprised at the good reviews. Really disappointed in food quality. If you know what good Vietnamese food is, do not expect this to taste close. Meat portions are really small, does not look like pictures in menu. Three stars for convenient location, and I only gave 3 stars for being a back up option when other restaurant waits are too long.
