We needed a place to eat while driving from A to B, and we found Shan Shan Low on Tripadvisor by searching for Chinese cuisine. We both agreed that it was some of the best Chinese food we have ever experienced. We each got an entrée, and we also ordered egg rolls, steamed rice, and hot tea. They also brought us hot and sour soup (no charge). All of that came to about $55 with tax, not including tip. My wife’s shrimp (with green beans) was cooked perfectly. My mu shu pork was so flavorful. And the egg rolls were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavors. We just kept saying “mmmmm.” There was plenty to take home for lunch the next day. A couple could really split one entrée, share an appetizer and steamed rice, and have plenty to eat. Our waiter went out of his way to please us. When I took a bathroom break, I walked past one of the staff snapping green beans by hand. The atmosphere is plain, but the people make it charming. Their sound system was playing actual muzak, which you don't hear much anymore, and it was on very low, so not too loud. The restaurant is in a huge strip mall called “Park and Shop,” a very ordinary name for an exotic, multi-cultural experience. It was like a city full of ethnic neighborhoods in one city block. We browsed in a Mexican grocery store and an Indian grocery store after eating. Local families of all races celebrate birthdays here. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon, but we found a parking spot after hunting for just a few minutes. It’s also within walking distance of the BART station (less than a mile). Shan Shan Low may become our “go to” whenever passing by Concord. Looking forward to returning!
This is the best Chinese food I have ever had, anywhere, including New York, and San Francisco. Been going here since 1992, and it just gets better, for eat in and take out.
Across the board, bad food. We ordered to go and waited. There were few customers. I ordered veggie pot stickers and repeated veggie and when we got home, they were yucky balls of chicken. The special sesame chicken was like fried shoe leather - impossible to chew and tasteless. Our other dishes were barely passable. One of our orders was missing. When we called, they said we didn't order it but the receipt (for almost $90!) doesn't specify and the prices on line are all inaccurate. Avoid this place!
I've been coming to shan shan low for the better part of 15 years. Before covid was the last time I had eaten here
Service for a pick up order was super prompt and courteous. But my food was, not good. I saw this regretfully but the quality dropped off massively.
After a 5 min drive home My pot stickers melted in the box and some of the mest wasn't fully cooked. Half of the general chicken order wasn't breaded. The Mongolian beef was soggy which is weird cause it's also a stir fry dish.
Great place always recommend one of my go too restaurants great service.foods always amazing
Best food hands down!!!
We had a group of ten and everyone in our group enjoyed the food. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was phenomenal. Definitely will come back.
I decided to choose this restaurant due to its positive ratings so I was excited to try this place out. But unfortunately when I came home from my to go order (a 10 min drive) , my hot and sour soup was like warm as well as my entrees that I had ordered.
Also, I feel like there was a certain seasoning that was missing in all items. They just tasted pretty bland.
All good, some foods taste different everytime,
Delicious food and outstanding customer service. Highly recommend giving this place a shot!

phenomenal.
I recently dined at Shan Shan Low restaurant and had a fantastic experience! The Chinese food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We ordered egg fried rice, vegetable chow mein, Mongolian beef, and chicken with tofu, all of which were savory and delicious.
While the restaurant has an older appearance, it is quite spacious and comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable. There’s plenty of parking available, and the location is great! I highly recommend Shan Shan Low and look forward to returning with friends and family.
