Ok, this is a neighborhood strip mall teriyaki joint, and its not much to look at. But I've been coming here for years, and it never changes: really good food for a reasonable price. I usually either get the teriyaki beef plate, or a chicken katsu...highly recommended!

Local business run by a lovely old couple. Tea and water available on the side for free and decent food for cheaper than other japanese food in the area.

This is the best spot for teriyaki! It is a small restaurant owned by a very sweet couple, so coming in here feels nice and cozy. I am not typical a fan of California rolls but the ones they provide with your meal are just wonderful. And I love that the teriyaki sauce is added after they have grilled your chicken, it gives it a very good taste. And the portions are very generous. Definitely a must try!

Yummy lunch at Teriyaki Plus on Monument. They're located in the same shopping center as Food Maxx, next-door to Best Burger. It's a total mom-and-pop shop; the owners have had this restaurant for 24 years! I had the short ribs, and my girlfriend had the teriyaki combo with tempura. Everything was delicious, and there was plenty of food for us to take home for dinner. Plates come with the main, rice, edamame, two California rolls, glass noodles, and veggies. They also have smaller bowls and sushi. This is truly a hole-in-the-wall establishment with wonderful food and terrific owners. I've included photos of the menus and the interior.

We've been reading about this place on a local FB group. We decided to give it a try today after stopping at the nearby Costco. Kind of a hole in the wall in a large strip mall off Monument Blvd. When we walked in, the place struck me as a mom and pop place from back in the day. Old time menu board with the plastic letters and numbers from the 70's. Noticed that the prices were very reasonable. We ordered a couple sushi rolls, a Teri beef bowl, chicken Teri bowl, bulgogi plate, and a beef Teri and tempura combo. All that plus 3 fountain sodas came to $100 with tip; Not bad at all! Food is cooked on a grill top and sushi is made on a small sushi bar. Food came out and we received a comp'd gyoza plate (moist and tasty). Good portions, excellent jap chae sides, veggies, and steamed rice. Everything was good- we'll be back.

If anything this review of mine just proves that every review on yelp is just one person's opinion and is very subjective. Not only does it depend on each reviewer's personal taste but it is also subject to change over time. With that said, more than 5 years ago I tried this place and did not enjoy it. However, having seen so many rave reviews from other yelpers over the years, today I decided to give this place another try. I tried their chicken teriyaki previously and didn't love it so this time I tried something different: their beef teriyaki. First of all, the price was very affordable. Secondly, the portion was beyond generous - I was stuffed at the end. The beef teriyaki was sliced thinly and therefore was very tender. The teriyaki sauce was added on top of the grilled beef just in the right amount, not too overwhelming. And the beef was laid on top of a very generous portion of white rice. On the side, I got some vegetables, a couple of pieces of California rolls, and what seems like Korean glass noodles (japchae). All of them were very delicious and satisfying. And the entire thing was only $12. Therefore, I am revising my review from one star (maybe I was just snobby 5 years ago) to five stars (yes, I'm more than certain). The restaurant was not too huge but it still felt very cozy, and the tables were clean despite me seeing only 2 people working at the restaurant. It felt like a nice "mom and pop" shop. And the older couple who worked there were very nice and friendly, and service was fast. I would definitely go back and try their other bowls/plates (I think they have spicy pork if I'm not mistaken) and their sushi.
