What a disappointment! Service was terrible. Food bad and attitude was lacking. Went with friend for a birthday lunch. Will never return

Stopped in at the Orland CA location for lunch yesterday expecting to order something safe, something hard to screw up. I ordered the pot roast plate with broccoli and rice pilaf sides thinking that should be easy to serve up with some culinary decency. NOT. The minimal portion of pot roast was tough, dry and about 10% fat. The the gravy shown in the menu photo nearly non existent. Had to ask for some brown gravy to fix that. The rice pilaf was a colorless, tasteless pile of goo. Sent it back in favor of a side of hash browns (which were fine). The broccoli, was old and tough and so bereft of its natural flavor that only the bitterness remained. Had to also fix that at table with salt, pepper, lemon juice and butter, but still the bitterness and toughness dominated. It's clear this corporate eatery cares little to provide any semblance of fresh, quality fare, not withstanding the premium prices they expect. At best, this franchise serves a very bad version of what you'd expect from a Denny's. At worse, you may get sick eating the crap their suppliers provide this chain. My American Eskimo dog would not even touch the leftover pot roast I saved for him.

Our waitress did an amazing job. Unfortunately she was the only one working there to serve. We felt bad she was doing it all on her own. We gave her a larger tip cuz she was working so hard. I only gave this restaurant a 3 because they need more staff. We were patient while many others were not. It's a shame. Please hire more people at this location.

The service was friendly enough, kind and obviously knowledgeable of the menu. However, our food sat in the window for a good 10 minutes before making it to our table. The Food was also a little expensive for what it was. Just passing through but next time I'm passing through, I'll probably hit up the Denny's next door.

Just as a guide/suggestion or heads up for any carnivores looking for a decent steak , be sure to order it RAW as it can be heated more but cannot be brought back from ashes .
I ordered a steak medium RARE in the hopes it would be anything less than medium , and it was cooked well to the point of being dry and just short of shoe leather .

Staff needs training and management. First shift served cold food. Second shift couldn’t manage to send one complete order to the table. When you pay over $30.00 for a chicken fried steak breakfast and the kitchen can’t figure it out it is not worth the incredibly high price.

Used to love this place but nothing like it used to be. The trademark iron skillets are gone, not much of a menu and the food was lousy and very small portions for what we paid... will not be returning
