We decided to have an overnight getaway to this small lodge and casino. We made reservations ahead of time and knew check in was 4pm. We arrived early to gamble but went to the Lodge to let them know we were there. There were 2 employees at the counter at noon- not a busy time. They wanted us to pay and then would call when the room was cleaned. At 4, no call yet so we went to get the key and a room. There was only 1 person working and a long line. Each party getting a key and heading off to a room. At our turn, we were told the room is not ready yet...WHAT? Apparently the original person assigned a specific room to us- However knowing that they had our money 4 hours earlier you would expect that room to have been cleaned. I told her we didn't ask for a specific room and to just give us any King room that is clean. Apparently that was a big deal to her. She had to speak to the maid a couple of times (in spanish, not realizing I understood- and it was not really courteous) and finally gave us a different room that had already been cleaned. However, once there, the room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom looked renovated and very clean and spacious. The shower was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. We had to call for more pillows but they were delivered promptly. And you have to ask at the counter to get the coffee for the coffeemaker. The door to the bathroom doubled as a closet door, closing one or the other. Interesting, but functional. We had a room on the first floor at the end of a hallway. Had to have the curtains closed to natural light because the view was to other windows and a pathway. We didn't want people looking in. Also in the morning, employees left through the door at the end of the hall and let the door slam. Good thing we are early risers. Otherwise quiet all night, albeit a Monday, and the room temperature was comfortable even without the air/heat on.. The casino on the other hand was disappointing. Their website said table games were open as well as the buffett -being served cafeteria style. There were only 3 tables in a cubby space of the casino and no buffet. The employees there, however were very nice, especially the cocktail waitress. We did order take out burgers from the Lounge to take to our room at check in. We were pleasantly surprised to find the food still warm despite the long check in process. Ultimately a great place to stop when on the road, but we will not make it a getaway destination again, at least until everything is open and back to normal.

I constantly stop getting some food in this place. I loved the fast service and well made dishes. 5 stars from me.

This place is unquestionably one of the best restaurants in the region. Whenever I come to this place I am deeply glad. They always keep their very high level service and the topmost level of food they serve. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed, bar tender did not know how to make manhattans. Made them with regular vermouth. Sent them back and they added cherry juice and sent the original drinks back.

We had reservations for 7 and after we ordered everyone got their order and my food never came they said the computer crashed but where still unable to bring my food and everyone else on my table is done eating they served said I can box it up for you when I told him everyone else was done eating but I came here to eat and couldn’t. Eventually when they brought me something to eat they had already cleaned the plates off the table for everyone else that was with me and I had to sit there and wait awkwardly by myself I wouldn’t enjoy my meal or the company. Very disappointed. The worst part is our waitress just kept blaming the computer and not really apologizing or trying to make things right worst $50 steak I’ve ever had!

Not Veteran or Service Dog Friendly. We went on Veterans Day 2019, a Monday at about 730pm. We asked about any Veterans Day specials as many restaurants offer some type of Veterans day benefit to Veterans The Buffet does not. The restaurant was not busy and the food was mostly cold, old fried asian greasy options, rubbery mashed potatoes, mushy tuna bow tie pasta and adequate prime rib, desert was mass produced thawed cheap deserts of pastries and mushy cheese cake. The food was abysmal, The Buffet Staff told me I could not have my medical alert service dog with me, This is ILLEGAL and not in accordance with the ADA. This is equivalent to telling someone they cannot have their walker or wheelchair with them. Denny's the exit to the north would have been a better option and we would not have been harassed about my service dog. Our waitress was attentive. We chose not to go back to breakfast. Had we not already checked into the RV park which was a barren wasteland, we would have kept driving to find another RV park. The Gas prices were over .20 higher than the next exit to the north.

Ignore the the buffet reviews. The Timber is it's own little establishment.

Not worth the 13.59 for buffet. Limited food. Server was nice but that's about it.

The buffet is absolutely disgusting! Little to no choices whatsoever. I honestly can't believe i wasted $21 when it's not even worth $10.
