I've been very obsessed with their salmon lately. My plate has white rice and seasoned veggies. Their salmon was cooked perfectly and not dry. I like to place my pick up orders online if I am in a rush.

We’d heard a mix of really good and really bad reviews about El Chingon, so we decided to try it for ourselves with a to-go order.
Overall, it wasn’t the best experience, but it definitely wasn’t the worst either. For the price point, the meat portions felt pretty small, which was disappointing. The steak was also a miss—it came out way too raw, even though we specifically asked for medium.
Some of the noodles and rice were kind of crunchy, which made us wonder if they were undercooked or just didn’t travel well in a to-go container. Flavor-wise, several items—and some of the house-made sauces—lacked seasoning and depth.
On the positive side, the shrimp tempura was really good and easily the standout of the order.
Not a terrible experience, but for the cost and expectations, it didn’t quite deliver. Probably wouldn’t rush back, but open to giving it another try if improvements are made.

I got a fit bowl. Beware that it's loaded with lots of rice and less chicken and vegetables. The chicken is plain with no seasoning. They provide a ginger sauce and some other sauce that doesn't help with adding flavor. I ordered a fit bowl to stay healthy. White rice isn't at the top of the list of healthy foods. It's nothing close to a Waba Grill bowl.Please provide more protein and veggies than rice.
If you love hibachi but not the hibachi show this is the place for you. Amazing food.

The steak was cooked exactly to my liking and full of flavor, and the veggies were seasoned beautifully. The soup and salad were both excellent. I loved the concept of the wonton chips with the sweet sauce. It’s like Mexican and Japanese had a baby, in the best way.
The restaurant itself is clean, beautiful, and an amazing new spot near my house. I’ll definitely be coming back. The only thing that didn’t quite hit for me was the rice. I think I was expecting more of a Japanese style flavor. I also noticed that other customers didn’t finish their rice or noodles either, while everything else on the plate was enjoyed.
One small note: it sounded like there was a club in the kitchen with loud music playing, and the front of the restaurant had different music altogether. My ADHD was definitely overstimulated trying to focus 😅, and I noticed the staff having to talk over the music.
That said, my taste buds were very satisfied. The server was kind, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
