Excellent. This dude clearly cares about coffee. And people. A great combo.

Great little kiosk/cafe in front of the library building near Spreckels Park; fresh baked goods (from commercial bakery) and fresh hot coffee as well as other drinks. Snack food options. Very convenient location and friendly, fast service from the enterprising one man business.
I used to go every Wednesday for years because it was my carpool day for Sacred Heart, and I miss going for a good tea, and snacks!! Amalo is the Best.
The owner needs to change the hours on Google. My husband and I showed up to this establishment at 9:30, 30 minutes after what Google says the time he opens is, and ended up going into the library to find out where it was. That was when the librarian told us he doesn’t open until 10:30. We were super disappointed!!! Ended up walking down the street to Clayton’s Coffee House.
Good espresso drinks and nice staff. I will drop by whenever I'm on Coronado.
What a great little shop it has pretty much everything for a quick bite. The coffee is amazing, great quality. Try the muffins, they won’t disappoint. Alex is so nice, will take great care of you! Worth a stop.
This is a great place to get coffee when you're in Coronado. The service is always friendly and if you're going into the library you can actually take your drinks in with you. You still have to eat food outside, but there is a good variety to select from. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. I've seen drinks cost more pretty much everywhere else on the island, even the snacks. This is definitely worth the stop to investigate if you've never been here before, or to revisit if you're already a fan.
I'm giving one star for kind service, but my coffee tasted like water. Actually he watered it down in front of my face and I should have said something. For a $6 cold brew with oat milk I was very disappointed. He squirted some arrowhead water in my cold brew. My initial thought was maybe it's a trick he uses because the coffee is possibly too strong, but now I am thinking it was a technique to make my cup look full. There was a splash of oatmilk, 1/4 of cold brew, lots of ice and a squirt of water. So I was drinking coffee flavored water!!!

For a small coffee vendor mocha was surprisingly good. They have oat milk. Located at right in front of the library so I guess you can check out your books and read here while sipping on your bevarge. I also saw cold drinks, and some snacks such as pastries and microwave noodles if you need a quick bite. Barista is nice and friendly.

Amazing coffee, freshly brewed and good quality, friendly nice service. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area

Great coffee! Authentic rather than pure sugar like other places ? The location is really pretty and its really nice to hang out at a table while you drink your drink!
Alex was a great server
This photo of our beautiful Coronado Library is very misleading. This is Not a restaurant but rather a small coffee, soda, snack kiosk off to the side of the library entrance and not even in the picture! I had friends driving all over the place looking for this “restaurant” that didn’t exist. Very disappointing:(
