The most mediocre tacos I’ve had, which was a shock because that is literally all they do. I would have a beer here again, but never eat here again.

Obviously the view, Coronado California beachside, is perfection! The food is excellent .The service is friendly, the area is clean and they allow dogs. As a dog mom, I appreciate the love and attention they gave my baby.

We did dinner there last night enjoy all of the different tacos offered. It is perfect for kids to play in the sand while parents enjoy a meal and drink. It was quick and easy.

I don't know if they have live music all the time, but that's what made me stop for a $23 drink and $12 taco!

I just went for tacos and was disappointed. The el pastor tasted old and chewy.

Save your money and your patience — skip the Beach + Taco Shack at Hotel Del Coronado. We went for lunch on July 4th and it was an absolute joke from start to finish.
We waited in line for about 10 minutes and placed an order for four tacos (Achiote Shrimp, Fish, Pork Al Pastor, and Portobello Fajita) and one bottle of water. We were told it would be a 10-minute wait — totally reasonable. But after 30 minutes of standing around, watching dozens of people who ordered after us get their food, I went up to check. The response? “It’ll be another 20 minutes.” For tacos.
I asked to speak to a manager, and someone named Martha came over. I explained the situation, and instead of taking ownership or even showing a hint of concern, she gave me a list of excuses about how “busy” they were — but couldn’t explain why we, among everyone, were being skipped. She offered chips and salsa and water to make up for it, but that wasn’t the point. I told her this was absurd, and if they couldn’t handle basic taco orders, I wanted to speak to the Food & Beverage Director. Funny enough, he was “unavailable,” but miraculously, our food appeared 10 minutes later.
All in all, we waited 40 minutes for four tacos and a water that cost $65 — and they were awful. The pork was burnt, the shrimp was rubbery, the fish was bland, and the only halfway decent thing was the portobello taco (and even that wasn’t worth the price).
I called again on Monday, July 7th and left a message for their Food & Beverage Director. No response. No apology. No accountability. Not even a courtesy call back.
The fact that this place is part of a high-end resort makes it even more pathetic. Do yourself a favor: skip the overpriced mess and bring your own tacos from anywhere else. You’ll spend less, wait less, and actually enjoy your food.

Decent tacos but very expensive. A lot of people stop here for a quick lunch on the beach since it’s the only option and they definitely take advantage of that with the prices. $13 for one taco is crazy.

Tacos are ok, but $12 each. There has to be a limit at some point.
Taco was expensive for a few bites. I tasted the tortilla more than the fish inside. It took a long time for not so great quality. Atmosphere you can’t beat.
