Our first time to this restaurant did not disappoint. Our server, Kaylee, was amazing. She was so friendly and checked in on us just the right amount of times to make sure we never needed anything. She was also great with giving menu recommendations. The chips and salsa were good. The short rib Machaca chimichanga was delicious. It was my birthday and they had a birthday card on the table for me, which was really nice. They also gave me a complementary dessert. The food was delicious and Tuesdays they have all day happy hour. They have TVs with sports in the bar which is nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Enjoy Blanco several times. The state that he is truly outstanding! Trying to eat new sauce for excellent! Just now it's very loud in there a great place to eat some excellent Mexican food.

Our server was friendly and attentive, however the overall experience was lacking. It was a super loud environment and the food was just ok. We liked the corn tamale but the cheese crisp had too much cheese so it was not crispy at all. Parking was terrible as well. We went around the area several times and had to end up walking a far distance to the restaurant.

Everything was very good. Service was great. They were accommodating with ordering food for my kids who like to create their own meals. The new skinny margaritas was great and the steak fajitas I had the steak was very flavorful and cooked just right. My husband had the asada burrito which he liked. When we are back in town we will definitely be back.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, look elsewhere. There is a fusion spin to most dishes, which doesn't necessarily make it better. If you want really great Mexican, try Miguels which is a block down. That said, the service and ambiance were notable. Be sure to make a reservation.

My family and I chose this restaurant because of the high ratings it received so maybe our expectations were too high. Overall, this restaurant was just a tourist attraction for people who may not know what authentic Mexican food should be prepared and taste. Our biggest disappointment was the "homemade" corn tortillas which were undercooked and bland. Our food was average at best and not worth the price. The margaritas were very sweet, probably premixed, and didn't taste like there was any alcohol in them. The only positive was the polite and attentive server who did a wonderful job. I would not recommend this establishment with all the other high-end restaurants in Coronado that you could choose from.
We had a reservation for 3 at 19:00. We arrived at 18:50 and checked in with the hostess. We weren't seated until 19:25. Several parties, that checked in after us, were seated before us. I'm just going to assume they had earlier reservations and just checked in late. Once seated it took another 10 minutes to get service. Our waiter appeared to be over worked. He came by several times but they were just drive by checks and I don't think I ever saw him stop moving. Fortunately, we looked at the menu while we were waiting for our table so we were ready to order the first time our waiter appeared. They had a manager stop by our table and bring us more salsa and refill our drinks (and I should add the hostesses were cleaning and preparing tables the entire time we were waiting) so I think it was just a really busy night for them. The staff was very polite and appeared to be doing all they could to help with service. The food came out in a timely manner and it was excellent. I would definitely return.

Asked the manager for lots of salsa, he never brought any. Had to keep asking for the same food over and over again. Like didn't bring any pico de gallo when asked. Server tried hard though. She was very sweet. Food was good but not great.

Absolutely terrible food. Both the mahi tacos and the carnitas tacos were bland and unseasoned. It tasted like they didn’t bother to season with anything, no lime, no spices whatsoever.
