We sat at the bar and wanted them make the Mexican drinks it was disgusting. The water they were using to mix with had stuff floating and I did not finish my drink. Spent over $75.00 just for the water front view!
Save your money it’s to hard to come by!

What an absolute delight! The service was incredible, very friendly and kind. The food was absolutely delicious 🙌 I had the La Bomba- the habanero cream sauce was perfectly spicy and sweet. My husband had the El Patron which was a beautiful mix of spicy, savory and sweet. We also had the Mexican mocha which did not disappoint! Along with a spritzer rosado which was beautiful presented with orchards, mint and a fresh lemon. Heavenly! All of it was absolutely incredible! It was our first time here but we will be back!! ☀️

Basically haven’t even had the food yet and the service is already terrible, unrealistic wait times promised, here we are almost 2 hours in and a text stating our table is ready yet we still have to wait approximately 30more minutes. Bad system overall. A lot of people complaining about the same thing.

The place is lovely, with a beautiful view—and noisy. The service is excellent. The prices are reasonable. The food: fellow gringos beware. Everything we had was extremely spicy, including all the salsas offered. There are two kinds of refried beans; ask for the ones that do not have spices in them. Both kinds are very watery. The sour cream on one of the dishes we had was also watery. We had machaca burritos which were OK, and pork quesadillas which were tasty but quite greasy. We want to go back, but we will order much more carefully.

Very nice place, delicious food and good service. But I was very annoyed that we had 1 hour and a half eating & drinking cocktails and they basically asked us to pay and leave because we couldn't stay longer than allowed. The hostess never told us about this 90-minute policy. It bothered us a lot since we were consuming and they had many empty tables.

I just visited Cocina 35 brunch and I had a wonder experience. The place is absolutely stunning, with pink trees and the most beautiful decor, I just loved it so much! The location is unmatched, with the most beautiful view of the San Diego skyline! The food is absolutely fantastic, the best Mexican breakfast food, I tried so many of the dishes because they just looked amazing and didn't disappoint! The staff is very polite and nice! They're very busy so make sure to be patient. Overall, cocina 35 is a new favorite of mine for sure!

The food was very good and the view even better but the coffee was awful in my opinion Americano very basic and bad and my friend had a cafe de la olla wich supposed to no need anything else to be added to taste good but she try to make it good and was bad as well. Yes bad coffee can almost ruined the breakfast experience.

This place had potential but lacks organization and service.
To begin, there was a line to get on the waiting list. Once on the list they ask for a phone number & they send you a welcome text. The hostess reaffirms they'll text you when they have your table ready. Fast forward, we received a text stating "Your table is ready" so we proceed to the entrance. They asked us to step into another line to again, wait for a table. So... why are they texting that the table is ready, if we just have to wait in line again? We ended up waiting another 20mins after receiving the text before we were able to be seated.
We ordered food and it took a while. That was to be expected as it was a Sunday morning and they were busy. But when the food arrived, the food was cold. I read other reviews with similar experience. I don't mind waiting, but at least bring me hot food if I've been waiting that long.
The food tasted great. No issues there. Perfectly cooked chilaquiles. The proteins we all added were great. French toast was good. Again, my only complaint with the food was that is was not hot!
They were very busy and it seems they need a better system over all in order to provide a better dining experience.
I definitely wouldn't bother coming back on a busy day. Maybe a weekday when there is no wait.
