Clam Chowder was fine, sourdough was hot & fresh. The rockfish was ok, but the risotto was not impressive, nor were the panko fried artichoke hearts. Service was ok, not great. Overall pretty mediocre; disappointing after seeing other reviews. Maybe just not our night.

Unfortunately not a great experience. My fish was good and hot but my sides were cold. We were offered water and bread and never received them. Waiter only came to the table 4 times.

Overall a rather disappointing experience. Foos was mediocre at best. We had tuna salad and the salad itself was bland and the tuna was tasteless. The new gland chowder was decent, but the calamari steak was too firm and also rather bland. The view was nice and the service was very quick and pleasant. Would not go back though...

The location and set up of the restaurant is great. It is beautiful and set against the moored boats so you can't beat the ambience. The food was good but would not say it is the best in the area and the service was adequate. We were there on a Friday evening so it was crowded meaning that after we were seated, it took about 20 minutes to take our appetizer order. It is fairly expensive but an overall enjoyable experience.

My entree of seared scallops was absolutely delicious. However, the front reception desk needs to raise the level of professionalism. First, the very young immature lady who called our name was totally inappropriate in how she announced your table was ready. She thinks she's at a baseball game, loud and obnoxious. Secondly, while waiting for our table, we watched the same person acting very childish at the reception desk. Thirdly, as a frequent customer, we requested on Open Table, a table near a window and/or the patio because we don't like to be seated in the very loud and noisy middle of the restaurant. Yet, the immature hostess placed us in the middle of the restaurant. We love your food, but retrain your reception area...

Food was good. The mahi mahi dinner was really a nice portion and very tasty. The paella was dry and lacking in flavor and the amount of fish. The server, Hailey, was very nice and the ambiance was lovely.

Great food and waitress. I was just disappointed that I had mentioned it was a birthday celebration in the reservation to surprise my husband but nothing was done. I would not be this upset if I had not watched the table in front of us get something special from the restaurant for the mom of the group. I should not have to tell the waitress about his birthday, in front of my husband, when I made the note in the reservation. What is the point of using open table if they are not going to read the notes we take time to write? We live all the way in GA so very disappointed on this miss in attention to detail.

We have travelled a bit, dining out is a special part of our travels. 40 states, 2 continents and 12 countries. We have never experienced the quality of table service and attention that my wife and I received from Paul the night we chose Bluewater as our dining experience for the evening after many recommendations from locals.

We both had the walnut crusted halibut meal. My fish filet was less than good, on the dry side, somewhat fishy tasting, with a bit of freezer taste. Not light, flaky and mild like halibut should be. My wife had a better piece but still had some of the same lack of quality of my fish. The asparagus spears we received were extremely thin, the scallop potatoes were average. Not even close to the best meal we've eaten here before. We notice a big difference in the quality pre-Covid vs. post-Covid. Supply issues? Or, just cutting corners due to inflation? We usually eat here for special occasions but will be looking to go elsewhere next year.

We go to the Bluewater Boathouse Grill for almost all our special occasions, because their food is consistently good, fresh and well prepared. While the service is always good, our waiter, Thomas, was a cut above! He was outstanding and deserves accolades for his flawless service and delightful personality and professionalism.

Maybe I was too excited to be here that I overhyped the experience but it felt like it was overhyped for what it was. Very average food and service for a high markup. Not bad but definitely not great.

Everything is awesome except the food. This place needs a lot of work, if you don't mind about food. View is great have a drink and chill. Beware of fresh oyster and seafood cioppino, it's not good.

Not what I was expecting. Ordered prawns with cocktail sauce and clam chowder. Don't order the prawns cocktail. Chowder was OK. I had the scallops they were salty and greasy, grits had no flavor. Husband had the halibut said it was OK asparagus was over cooked looked like dried up twigs. The restaurant was really loud and kind of dirty. It was a disappointing dinner. Location is nice to bad the food is not.

Made a reservation and we were seated within 5 minutes. I had asked for a view booth, at least my date was able to see out. I looked to the back of the building. I'm not complaining but I did ask in my request. Food came out promptly and hot. We both enjoyed out plates. I had the Mahi in lemon butter. She had ahi and also enjoyed. The bread was not good. Don't bother. Don't forget to ask for water they didn't ask if we wanted any.
