Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. We were sat on time, which was great. We had a large party. It took a while for drinks to come out. The drinks were good. The brussel sprouts appetizer was good. But the entrées were not good at all. I had an allergy and specifically asked to have an ingredient removed. However, when my meal arrived, it was sitting right there on the plate. I mentioned it to the waitress and she plucked it off my plate and said it was fine. She then offered to have it remade. I did not want to wait for It so, since it's not a life-threatening allergy, I went ahead and tried the food. It was the salmon with asparagus and potatoes. All of it was extremely bland. And there were bones in my salmon. The rest of the table just thought their food was average. A couple people even said their chicken was quite dry. We will not be back.

We enjoyed this “pub-like” experience! I especially loved the honeycomb in my smoky drink.

We love the Tavern. Shisito Burger is our first meal when we come to the island. Thank you!

Despite the construction we were still able to sit outside and the food and service were great!

Good meal. But one member of our party is vegetarian and we saw more listings in an online menu that must have been old. The options were pretty limited.

The food was great. We had fish and chips. The portions were generous. The French martini was delicious. Service was great too!

We've eaten here several times and have always had great service. The food is also good and reasonably priced for a restaurant in Coronado. Had the sliders last night and they were excellent. Was also pleasantly surprised to see June shine on the menu.

We've been coming to the Tavern for about two years now, almost every week. This restaurant is like coming home to family. The service is over the top amazing, the food and drinks are consistently superlative and the ambience is so charming. Coming to the Tavern is a must do for anyone who appreciates amazing food, service, and drinks.

It's a fun spot; get a booth by the window (you'll be just below sidewalk level). Sort of old industrial setting with great personality. Their menu isn't huge, but it's a good offering of really well-made dishes. The linguini with clams is one of my favorites, as is the picanha. The tomato soup is pretty amazing and surprisingly rich. Among the better apps are the angus sliders and the wagyu tacos. A nice selection of beers and some good craft cocktails. This is a great spot for a casual meal and drinks where quality matters!

Really enjoyed our first visit here. Good, service and ambiance were all great. It was our last night in Coronado, or we'd be planning a return trip.

Comimos una rica hamburguesa con cerveza . Estuvo deliciosa y la atención del mesero fue muy amable.

The Tavern is not “bar” food, it's well prepared, delicious food. The service is outstanding.

Opentable Diner

Food was amazing. Very impressed with how perfectly prepared everything was. Drinks were equally delicious - I'll have to return to try out some more of the cocktail list! Service was courteous, personable, and as fast as could be under NYE circumstances (and for any minor delays, we received frequent updates and apologies - really great work under challenging conditions). The only minor concern was that the table we were seated at was very close to the (permanently open) door, so it was quite cold and drafty for at least those of us seated closest to the door. Thankfully we had brought warm coats just in case. The restaurant has heat lamps, but for mystifying reasons, those are mounted exclusively in the entranceway, not over the tables, where they could keep the diners warm. A few well-placed additional heat lamps (or simply closing the door on cold evenings) would have taken the experience to 5 stars.
