We have been coming here for years and it has become one of our favorite restaurants. I made our reservations two months ago and had requested to sit on the patio, only for us to get there and them not have a table for us. We were practically shoved in the corner. It turned out to be a great meal and a great evening but just very disappointed in the lack of planning on the restaurant's part.

Enjoyed the eggplant appetizer, and the pasta, sauce, and topping choices were great, as was the salmon piccata special. Good super Tuscan wine, and Nonna's cheese cake was a delicious dessert. Ate outside under the tent, which was good in keeping the noise low, but it was windy. Ambiance inside looked fun.

This is the second time we have been to Garage Buona Forchetta, we are in LOVE! The service by Mauro is spectacular! We asked for suggestions and loved the risotto beef cheeks. He also steered us toward the panna cotta bother are AMAZING!OMG! The pizza’s and food are the closest to true Italian cuisine we’ve experienced in the states. Treat yourself and enjoy every taste :)

Amazing pizza. Lots of gluten free options and the gf crust looked just as good as the regular crust. Get the mousse.

Favorite spot and must visit every time we're in Coronado. Amazing pizza and incredible service. Waiters were so accommodating for our group of 15. Rearranging tables last minute and helping us coordinate orders. Sausage pizza with hot honey and grilled artichoke app were delicious.

Had a reservation, which was confirmed at restaurant request via Open Table the day before. Showed up at the reservation time to find the place closed and a sign on the door saying it was closed on Monday. Whether every Monday or just this one wasn't clear. We understand unforeseen events can occur but to confirm the res then not call or email that the plans were unilaterally changed was poor form. Luckily we got seated at the Italian place across the street, Nado Republic, and had a great dinner.

Garage Buona Forchetta is the best restaurant in all of San Diego! We have been regulars for 4 years now. What started off being a couple times a month is now a weekend tradition for our family. The staff is the heart and soul of this restaurant. It is their warmth & kindness that keeps us coming back every weekend. I have vacation in Italy and I can wholeheartedly say that the food here is just like you are back in Italy. All the ingredients are so incredibly fresh. Some of the pastas are fresh made. The sauces are so light and flavorful. The whole menu was designed so well. From appetizers, to main dishes and dessert— no matter what you order, I am sure you will enjoy it! Some personal favorites of our family are the spaghetti bolognese, spaghetti due pomodori, anything with the pesto, bruschettone, focaccia, panna cotta, fatore salad, and the Bruna pizza. I actually had my baby shower here as well and it was the most special day. The staff makes every visit, whether you're celebrating something or not, a special visit! They have become like family to us. Any special moments in our lives or just a Sunday, we are always here. There is no restaurant I recommend more to folks visiting San Diego!

Excellent restaurant with great vegetarian and vegan choices Ocasio and appetizers were great. Pizza crust was good a little underseasoned.

Incredible gluten free options. The focaccia was the best gluten free bread we have ever had.

We live in downtown San Diego and like to take the ferry to Coronado and walk to the other side of the island, we have lunch and make a day of it. This time we stopped here and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! It was a beautiful day and a holiday so it was kind of busy. Service was likely a little slower than usual, which didn't bother us because it was a leisurely day off for us - our waiter did apologize and thank us for waiting (it's always good to acknowledge when you realize that someone has been seated for a while - sometimes that's all you need to do to make us feel better).
We aren't big eaters so didn't order a lot, but they had a really good menu and there were things that I *totally* would have ordered. We were in the mood for pizza, so that's what we ordered - pepperoni pizza. It was the best we've had on the island and likely the best we've had in San Diego (admittedly, we've not been to ALL of the pizza places yet). Ingredients were fresh and it was just tasty.
It's just off of Orange Avenue, so conveniently located. The place is adorable, it is obviously an old garage and they made use of that with their restaurant theme. Absolutely adorable - a couple of old cars that make you smile, there's a little area inside where they sell stuff.
There's both indoor and outdoor seating and room for larger parties (although I am sure that they'd appreciate a heads up before you walk in with a large group).
We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place!!
Thank you for reading my review.

I love the everything about this place. When I walked by the restaurant the hostess was so pleasant and welcoming . After I sat down, my waiter came over and offered his favorite pizza “ Giulia” and it was delicious. I will definitely visit this place again when I come to San Diego.

Super cool pizza ristorante in an old garage. Great atmosphere and outdoor dining under a tent so you can enjoy the wonderful Coronado weather. We ordered the traditional red sauce pepperoni pie and it was delicious. Reminds me of the pizza I got in Sicily. We will Def be back
