The Seafood aspect of the restaurant really grabbed my attention it was excellent and closely resembled Water Grill. The steak options could have been better. The quality of the food was good but the level of service could have been better with course changes being somewhat sloppy. Our servers were both incredibly nice and knowledgeable.

Blink and you might miss it, Jolie packs huge flavors into a small space. Just having opened two years ago, I am so impressed with the strong menu. Each dish we had incorporated playful textures and fresh flavors. Although the interior of the restaurant is simple, the food is what supplies Jolie with artistic edge. Highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for high quality, flavorful dishes that are well priced.

Can not recommend Jolie's highly enough. The food was incredible, the service from Jack was elite and the location is fantastic.
I was in town for work and wanted to check out Coronado Island so went on the reviews - Jolie's had the best - they were spot on.
Do yourself a favour and make sure you dine here when in San Diego.

The idea that food alone shapes a restaurant experience is a serious misconception. I expect to savor fine wine and indulge in delightful dishes within an environment that truly embraces me. You slip into a sharp, clean designer suit but confidently pair it with your well-worn, dirty chucks—your style, your choice. You open a restaurant and carefully craft a stunning menu, but you boldly disregard anything that might enhance the dining experience. You know what you want, and you’re not afraid to own it. Not cool. Not a vibe.
Unfortunately, this place falls short. It's astonishing that the owner(s) believed that a cluttered basement was a suitable approach. It's quite presumptuous to think this is what patrons deserve. A bare room with a generic Ikea cabinet, three dusty plants, and some metal Amazon racks for wine storage is a fail. Couples on romantic dates deserve better. Friends reuniting after time apart absolutely deserve better.
On a positive note, the server was kind and attentive. He was charming and wounderful unlike the space. The food was ok. The wine was great. However, would I return? Absolutely not. Would I recommend Joile restaurant? Definitely not.

It would take a novel (or at least a decent short story) to encapsulate our experience. Jack was the most gracious host that anyone could ask for. He truly went out of his way to make our night special. Don't be deterred by minimalistic interior...they put their heart and soul in to service and food. Oysters...delicious! Scallops...spectacular! Shrimp and melon...crisp, fresh, unique, and absolutely incredible! Crab toast...yes, please!!!! Filet o' fish sliders...definitely an elevated and delicious version of the original. Sea bass crudo...heat contrasted with the saltiness of the capers was perfection. Steak frites...savory, tender, and delectable! Ice cream...unique...and incredible contrast of flavor and texture. Definitely a must stop for us on any future visit to Coronado. An absolute gem!!!
