Stopped into this pub after exploring The beautiful Hotel Del down the street. Huge patio and cold beer. Our waitress Tara was very friendly and attentive, good suggestions on share plates, the crusties were so good and she talked us into trying their clam chowder, had a lot to live up to since we are all from New England, and it did not disappoint. Great service, well worth a visit
This restaurant is a mix bag. Location is excellent in downtown Coronado , but the food is average and the service is pretty good.. I was seated immediately and the menu looked great. I asked if the fish and chips was recommended and the waiter said yes. Ended up getting the half order thank goodness, as it was very greasy, and the fries were very greasy as well. My friend and I went to get a burger after spending the afternoon wandering around the Hotel Del. It was warm enough to sit outside, and there were tables available. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating when we asked to split the half pound burger meal. My only complaint was that I asked for RARE, and it was delivered medium. It was still tasty, just not my preference..
