My daughter and I stopped in for dinner while on a quick trip to Coronado. We loved the fun decor of the covered patio and the overall energy of Nado. We started with bread service and shared the Antinori Chianti and it was worth the extra cost. I ordered off the menu, spaghetti with marinara which tasted fresh and authentic. She enjoyed the parpardelle Bolognese. We finished with the tiramisu and it was to die for! I only take off one star for the restaurant letting a kid in off the street selling $25 candy bars. I'm all about supporting kids pursuing sports goals, but it wasn't believable and felt very awkward and kind of like a scam. Overall, great restaurant and would definitely go back.
One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego! The lobster raviloli was to die for and I love the cacio e Pepe. Cute open air seating. It was super busy the night we went with many large parties sat at same time, but server was very gracious.
This was our first experience with Nado Republic. While the atmosphere was nice and the service was pretty good, the menu was quite limited compared to other Italian restaurants on the island...especially for the price.
We are italian and finding Nado ( Sandro)'s restaurant in Coronado was a really treat! Bravo Nado, the pizza was amazing and the tagliatelle too!!!!!
Have dined here twice now and each time have been impressed by this little spots Italian cuisine. Service is great, our female blonde server that seems like Mondays are her regular shift (so sorry, terrible with names) is very friendly and attentive. Bonus points for their fun birthday celebration.
In my opinion, Nado Republic is the best Italian restaurant in Coronado. It offers the best food and the best atmosphere.
Small, unique, cozy, friendly place, great service and food. Never disappoints. Can get crowded on weekends, but quiet during the week.
If you're in Coronado and craving some delicious pasta, you've got two great options. I highly recommend this one!
We also enjoy dining at Nado Republic. The food is always outstanding. We shared a nice red wine, the bread basket, a lovely spinach salad, and the mushroom-sausage pizza. All good!
Loved the vibe nice and Cozy place with many fun design touches . The food was amazing we had the lasagna and the gnocchi Asiago and truffle the pasta is simply the best in San Diego . We ended up with homemade tiramisu presented in a Martini cup soo good
Restaurantji Recommends
Had a great time here with friends! The calamari was just okay. But the drinks, bread and pasta were great! Plus we got some limoncello to drink on the house after our meal!
Would recommend.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff and owners make you feel so welcome. The food is amazing, true Italian comfort food, from the meatballs to the gnocchi! Save room for the tiramisu.
Bread in a plastic bowl half sliced. Olive oil very poor quality not tasting like it was. Server dropped it off and ran away literally not even giving us a chance to ask where was the sides we asked for the bread.
Gnocchis were more like mashed potatoes balls not the right shape not the dish texture

Decent Italian. A touch over salted. The lasagna noodles were overdone and the bolognese had no subtlety, but the truffle gnocchi was good.
Very disappointed in the fact that their menu is misleading. $12 vodka. But what they don't say is that is for 1 oz. There isn't a drink served with 1 oz. A $6 up charge for a martini. But they didn't tell us that. And $6 for olives ? Why didn't they give us the option. We would have skipped the olives. It's not necessarily about the money. It felt deceitful. The manager had a major attitude. Well this is a restaurant ? Really. And we hand stuff the olives . Ok. Then publish the “real” prices. We won't be going back.
