Vibe was interesting, food was DELICIOUS! My rigatoni was so, so good and I tried a bite of my friend’s gnocchi - it melted in your mouth. I ordered it to go to bring home for my family to try! Really impressed!

I came here with my wife on our honeymoon. It was a beautiful place, our servers were top notch and amazing. Very kind, stayed to talk a little, got us our food, and made the dining experience very pleasant. My only gripe was our main courses were not the best. My fiancée got the lobster risotto, a special they had, but the lobster tail was very over cooked and rubbery. The risotto was tremendous in its own right though! Possibly just a mishap. I got the lasagna, which is bolognese that they make, but the sheets they don’t. A note, they do make their own pasta for the rest of the menu options, but when it comes to the lasagna, as it was a special, the sheets aren’t made in house. The sauce was very bright, too acidic, but the portion was a good size, and the cook was great on it. Just a little too bright for my taste, that being said, very delicious nonetheless.I would 100% come back here, as the staff and the atmosphere really made this a nice evening. Even though the food was slightly lacking, the appetizers were tasty (burrata, bread). The risotto they served could honestly be served without the lobster tail, and it still would’ve been a knock out. Also, ask for freshly ground black pepper. It’s fun.

The food and cocktails were amazing. The martini was refined and refreshing. Their lasagna with bolognese was warm, comforting, and you could taste the effort put into the dish. Our server Daniel was also very professional and welcoming. He was timely and informative, as well.

Closest to the flavors of actual Italian pasta I’ve had in the U.S. all handmade pasta, and it shows. I had the Bucatini with guanciale and it was amazing!

We went here for a girls night and to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic time. No complaints at all. The food and service was amazing and the covered patio was super cute. Will definitely return here and I highly recommend it for birthdays.

Loved the food, the vibe and the service at Nado Republic. My husband and I sat at the bar. Jay, the bartender and our server was pleasant and made the best paper plane I've had outside my own home. My husband kept it simple with a beer. We shared a gorgonzola salad that was plenty for two and very tasty. Lots of gorgonzola which I love. Then on Jay's recommendation we had the sausage and mushroom pizza. Lots of both on the pizza and the crust was outstanding. Thin but not too thin and not so thick as to be unable to taste the other ingredients. We finished our meal with the tiramisu. It was okay but I ordered it without knowing the price and when the bill arrived, I was shocked to see it was 16 dollars! Definitely not worth it. The over priced dessert was one reason I give this restaurant a 4 and not a 5. The other issue is the seats at the bar. The stools are VERY uncomfortable. No foot rest and no foot rest along the base of the bar itself. Feet dangle down and it soon became uncomfortable and a distraction from an otherwise funky and comfy setting. Plenty of outdoor patio seating and that is good if you don't like crowds. The inside eating area is very small and gets feeling pretty crowded pretty soon. Overall, a great experience. I will recommend to friends and will return.

This was our third visit. This time for lunch. Had the pasta arrabiata and my husband the spaghetti and meatballs. Both were delicious. The wine pairing excellent. Service excellent as well. Eclectic place, with indoor outdoor seating and it is just off of Orange Avenue. Also next door their gelato store. Recommend you give both a try. We will be back for sure. Lots of character and ambiance.

We ordered our drinks at 7:30 and had to wait until 7:55 to receive our drinks. When they brought them over, no apology for the wait either. The restaurant also refuses to serve you water if you choose not to pay for their glass bottled water. The food and drinks were good but considering the amount of quality options, would suggest choosing somewhere that valued customer service!

came here on valentines day and this place did not disappoint. the only thing that I can complain about is that the seatings are really close and i'm a big guy but other than that the food was fantastic and the service was great. will be coming back for future occassions

A lovely little spot with excellent food. We sat outside with heaters which made it warm enough. The covered patio looks very sweet. Small indoor area. Reasonable prices. Had the nightly chef special: lasagne bolognese (reportedly his mother's recipe) that must have had 20+ layers. Definitely this place is worth a try!

The best pasta in San Diego hands down. The owners are incredibly talented at creating an unforgettable atmosphere. don't be surprised if they make you feel like family here. They have the best gnocchi Ive ever tasted.I guarantee you CANT BEAT THIS SPOT! I've met people that know of nado republic from Del Mar to San Ysidro. They welcome everyone from all parts of the world, and you're greeted by the smells of wonderful sauces, fresh pasta, and specialty cocktails that change regularly thanks to careful planning by Arlo, the cocktail ahd bar manager. I frequent here regularly. Can't say enough.
