Adjacent to the main circle drive entrance to Hotel Del. The smoked meats here are legit. Best smoked pulled chicken I've ever had In California (If you want better you'd probably have to go to Texas). Restaurant has a wide open loft feel so lots of space and some side games like darts. Bar area is in the front corner and great service and selection. With so many other options on Coronado ... I like it here when I don't want to feel crowded. Lot of space here ?Parking: Free parking about 200 yards away on Coranado Beach Park... but otherwise hit or miss parking on Orange Avenue or you can always valet park at Hotel Del for $30-50 + tip depending on day of week and on or off season.

Great set up and remodel. Huge potential but catering mainly to the hotel guest, especially relating to pricing. $25.00 for a dirty martini. They didn't have the Chiefs game because it was broadcast on Peacock which they don't have. I think they need to think of local business too but $25.00/hr parking and limited spaces on the street makes it hard. The food was pretty good though.

Extremely overpriced for fast casual meal. Did not appreciate the 20% mandatory gratuity when we did not have a server. Food was ok, but the prices are ludicrous.

Goin five stars on this baddie: cocktail was great, pretzel & cheese was luscious, and vibe was stellar.Kid-friendliness: Dope high-chairs!

What a cool building - a must see! The wood bar is historic and the old laundry racks are hanging from the ceiling. The food was great too. However the ordering process is confusing and frustrating. You order and pay at the hostess stand, and there is no signage to tell you to do so, and if you want drinks you go to the bar. The bartenders seemed understaffed and we're not friendly or helpful with navigating the drink menu.

This was a terrible experience all around. First, they charge you top dollar prices for low dollar frozen food. I understand I'm in California, but cmon y'all! 180 bucks for wings, mac and cheese, tater tots, pork sliders and one drink! Second, the food was almost inedible...the mac was bland, the tots were frozen tots, the onion rings were just ok, the wings were damn near close to inedible(didn't finish them) and the sliders were disgusting. The drink was overly sweet Instagram fodder. Third, after paying that kind of money, the wait staff drops your stuff off and never comes back...you order at the front and that's that. Weird concept. California needs to leave BBQ to other states, this was terrible. Hilton should be ashamed.

After walking around the Del and seeing all the beautiful lights we decided to try this new restaurant. First I am not one to eat at McDonalds and felt like that as you order as soon as you walk in. Felt rushed as people behind you. No beer listed so had to place our order and still had to go to bar You find your own table, for $120 for two people I like to be served. The brisket was good but not a lot of meat and tasted like a French dip. My husband said the wings were covered too much in sauce and not a lot of flavor. Music was loud and games on tv. Nit sure why you have games. I guess you let dogs inside to eat, zi think they should be on the patio. I think if they worked on somethings it could be worthy of a 5. Sorry really wanted to like it.

Disappointing (in both food and service). Ordered the Smokehouse specialty smoky cocktail (see photo) and the chilli with plate. See photos. Also table bread was cold (and from local grocery store?). Spent $68. The atmosphere was nice - so much potential if the food was decent.

My Husband and I came in last night for some Christmas Cheer.Andy the bartender greeted us and we were very well taken care of. We loved his expertise in cocktails so we tried all of his suggestions. Truly one of a kind drinks for every pallet. We sat at the beautiful bar and all the staff was above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back with friends! The game room is such a great idea. This place is huge. Lots of room to spread out with family and friends. The kitchen had just closed but Andy somehow was able to score us some of the best BBQ I have ever had.Don’t wait to try this fabulous new spot on the Del property.Tell Andy Amy sent you in. Cheers!

Waited hungry for two hours for this new, exciting place to open. Looked amazing ... but wasn't. Haven't been this disappointed in food in a very long time. My first choices for food and cocktails on the menu weren't available, and that was ok because second choices sounded amazing too... unfortunately, they weren't to say the least. Lots of stars for the atmosphere and potential, but zero to one stars for the sad, disappointing drink and food. Sorry, I was all set to be stoked on this place. Given how much I spent on dinner, felt the need to warn others.

I was brimming with anticipation to dine at the Hotel Del's new barbecue joint, Smokehouse & Bar, housed in the beautifully renovated Historic Laundry building. The interior boasts a stunning, open layout, marred only by an ill-fitting oversized Marilyn Monroe painting. The experience started on a confusing note with an unconventional ordering process right at the entrance. Guests are expected to mark their choices on a menu with a pen, a task seemingly intended for the hostess/server, but this expectation falls flat in practice. A word of advice: skip this step and verbally convey your order to the server, as the paper menus aren't actually used. The service was lackluster, surprisingly so given the nearly empty dining room during our visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the ambiance. Our order included brisket, pulled pork, a Caesar salad, and dinner rolls. The meats were a letdown - cold, visually unappealing, and tasting as if they'd languished under a heat lamp. The fact that dishes are transported from an external kitchen didn't help. The highlight, ironically, was the Caesar salad, a simple assembly of romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes, but well-executed. The dinner rolls were disappointingly just standard King's Hawaiian rolls, easily found at any supermarket. In summary, my experience at Smokehouse & Bar was a major disappointment, and I don't plan to return.

Customer service was amazing, especially during busy holiday time. The interior was also beautiful, perfect for a group with kids. The kids loved the Mac and cheese, perfect consistency for them and the ribs were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I stopped in last night for some holiday cheer. This place is huge! It has an amazing bar where we were greeted by Andy. The best bartender in San Diego - we think. And we get around.. The selections of cocktails were very creative and delicious. Andy was suggesting drinks to our needs and asking us what we liked as far as alcohol and flavor. Sweet? Spicy, smoky, we tried them all. The entire bar staff was top notch. The kitchen had shut down so we look forward to bringing our friends and family back. The atmosphere is great, laid back, with lots of entertainment for the kids and teens while you are at a big table. The smokehouse is such a great addition to the Hotel Del Grounds. You must go! Ask for Andy and tell him Amy sent you! Cheers! I might even be there, I loved the place that much.

What's with all the lines here, what is this Soviet Russia or something. I tried ordering a drink at the bar, after 30 minutes I gave up and went to the lounge and had a seat. I tried ordering a drink there, but I was told pretty much to go buggar myself and stand in a line somewhere. I'm from the SF bay area and I'm used to high prices, but holy cow, you'd think you were dining at the Westin at their prices. I bet that you don't have to stand in any lines at the Westin.
