Maybe it was the timeframe I showed up, 10:30 or so. Food was cold, pastry was dry and my friend got his food a solid 10 minutes before me. The atmosphere was nice though.

Bakery & Coffee. In fairness, I came to this place on Sunday morning during the summer. Not only will I probably never visit this place again, but I will probably not come to Coranado on a morning like this.
The food, coffee, vibe, service; all average. A little more concerned with cleaning & emptying tables than getting orders correct.

Very nice place. Giant portions: you can start by taking one for two and gradually measuring your hunger, because otherwise you risk generating a lot of waste - but you can take away what's left over. Very kind and always smiling staff.

This classic bakery has its own fun vibe and very fresh tasting food. If you don’t get hooked on their delicious cookies you’ll become addicted to their breakfast croissants ? the way they make their ?’s fresh and buttery gives the scrambled egg, bacon, ham or sausage filling a flawless base. One bite in and you’ll wonder why anyone else can’t make em like that. It’s literally the very 1st stop I make anytime I visit San Diego and has never disappointed me. Try it out! #YoullThankMeLater

Painfully rude service. They are not welcoming of guests, seems like they are happy to have locals but not visitors. Good food but seems like they’re losing customers and not busy anymore. I can tell why by their bad attitudes. Shame, it’s a cool looking place with a great menu. Hopefully ownership will change their culture, and train their people to stay in business.

Nope ?unfortunately after years of enjoying their tasty food they’ve gone very bad on service with extremely “soup nazi” type attitudes. It’s no wonder they’re losing business and much slower than in years past.
A server shamed me for asking about a menu item and then accused us of returning an item before - which has never happened. They initially refused to replace the item and then said they’d have to speak with the owner, then there would be additional cost and they were put out by doing that. It was a very weird experience and truly felt like their culture of service is customer is always wrong and summarized by the printed sign above the bakery case “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone”…hmm
If the customer is always wrong then the customer reserves the right to not eat there again too.
Not many selections of bakery. Seats are hard to find! Kinda chaos inside..

Just overall bad experience. The cheese danish was old and hard. The club sandwich wasn't very tasty, the lettuce and the bacon were clearly old... And it took 30min wait to get the sandwich
