So yummy! I didn't capture all the food but my family and I loved. They were quick with servicing us. Their power went out at the outlet mall, but were able to still whip up some amazing dishes. Owners/Managers were present and oh so kind. Would love to eat here again if we are in town.

Stinking seafood, rotten tomatoes overcooked, smug attitude and god forbid if you are Asian. About time il Fornaio on CM met the same fate it did in SF and other locations.

Hadn't been to Il Fornaio for a long time, but used to go to the Seattle location regularly. We had an Amazing Friday night dinner! We had the closest table to the open kitchen, my favorite spot. We were able to see how the staff all worked and it was flawless. I watched a manager do bus boy work and clear a table and reset it so the family waiting could get in right away. Our meals were perfect; spaghetti bolognese was perfect, very light, like you get in Italy. I haven't had a bolognese this good since I was in Italy. This in not l Iike the tomato and meat heavy American version. Really good time, well run restaurant.

Everyone I know hates this place now... The food and service are truly awful and food takes over an hour. Server said they use canola oil instead of olive oil. Yuck. The staff doesn't try and seems to be depressed because I saw the manager yelling at them. The manager acts like he is God.

"Il Fo" has been a reliable restaurant for over 20 years for me. The staffing is great, kudos to HR and managment for that. The kitchen performs, kudos to the back of the house too! I like the wine list, the menu, the cocktails, and the focused dessert offerings. Truly a complete dining experience can be had. We just had a pleasant lunch here, and doing dry January, stuck to sparkling water and coffee. That worked fine, actually felt great all afternoon not fatigued from the alcohol. Had a great, late dinner a couple months ago after a meeting in SF. Soooooo much more civilized eating in Marin than SF because of parkng and all the drugged out homeless wandering the streets of SF, which is like being in a zombie movie. Totally worth it to head over the bridge. Ahhh, I love the Marin Il Fornaio.

This place was lovely to look at and the food was fine. I just expected more from somewhere with these prices. It was not worth leaving Sonoma county for is what I'd say. We came down for a birthday and we will try to persuade them away next time. I guess I am spoiled up here. Okay I'll get off my hoity toity soap box. Bread was fresh and warm, pasta was yummy, short ribs were super tender. The calamari we started with was a little overdone and my sister in laws seafood grill plate was fishy tasting, not fresh. Service was great for a Saturday. I tried my first espresso martini and it was yummy but have nothing to compare it to. It gave me the pep I needed. Husband was disappointed with their beer options, nothing on draft. Finished the meal with an afogato that was delightful.

Fantastic - great for vegans, omnivores, kids, the whole family. We recommend the minestrone, bruschetta, casarecce pasta, insalata regina, and the brussel sprouts, and the raspberry sorbet. Relaxed, warm, casually-elegant atmosphere - with a great team. And, a huge shoutout to Lupe - for amazing, expert service. Thanks for a great experience. Recommended!

We waited 20mins to 30mins to be seated and on Thanksgiving day they should anticipate that how many people is coming as all of these people had their reservations ahead of time.. and the food was not great and calamari was hard chewy and cold, and our food was not even warm (Thanksgiving menu was not good) they didn't give us our own plate of food but instead they gave us one whole plate for 3 people and the food is not enough for 3 people. It was just not a good experience, we will never go there again!.

Lovely lunch today with my sister in the outdoor patio. Marco treated us so well and the food was fabulous.

Took 90 minutes to get our order. Food was also horrible for the price. The decor was nice but the staff was way understaffed. I wish I looked up reviews before I came here. I don't know if I ever waited 90 minutes for food. The seafood pasta was bad. Noodles were clumped together, scallops were chewy. Taste was bland.

This is the first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant. I had a reservation for 3 that specified outdoor dining. When I arrived the hostess said the outdoor area was full but she would open a new area for us. She escorted us to an area with no lights (it was dark outside) and no heater. She said she would have lights and heat turned on and left. After sitting in the dark and cold for about 7 minutes, I went in to ask about lights and heat. I was greeted by the manager who said he 1. Did not have a server for our table 2, he was busy with a full restaurant and could not turn on heat and lights (it was cold and dark) and 3 that he needed to take care of his indoor diners and his take out orders before he could get to me. I asked why he took my reservation if he could not accommodate me. He shook his finger at me and said he would get to me later. Rude. I get that restaurants get busy but he could have been professional and solution oriented. Instead, he wanted me to wait at my cold dark table until he got around to me. I guess I would have gotten better service and dinner had I called in a take out order. I will never go back based on this individuals rude behavior. We left and went to Tamalpie where we were welcomed to the lit and warm outdoor dining area.
